Arch dam is a water retaining structure which has beautiful bodily form and reasonable structure form. In recent years, arch dam has been widely used. This paper adopts finite element method to carry out three-dimensional finite element simulation analysis for Xiuwen hydropower station, research variation law of the dam’s stress and displace in operational process. Research results show that, single curvature arch dam of Xiuwen hydropower station have reasonable structure, good mechanical properties, every index meets the requirements for design.

With the rapid development of electric power industry in our country, the extra-high voltage power transmission system is widely applied so that the power transformer plays a more and more important role. This not only requires the transformer to quickly protect the circuit system but requires the transformer to be sensitive and reliable. Generally speaking, the method of differential protection is used to deal with some troubles when it breaks down such as the faster actuation time and wrong operation in magnetizing inrush current according to the second harmonic principle and waveform symmetry principle. On the basis of using second harmonic principle, we try to introduce the fuzzy recognition technology and provide a new criterion for the interlock of second harmonic by constructing the function subordination. Finally the simulation analysis is made through MATLAB, whose effect is better.

Using Matlab/Simulink software established the simulation model of UHV transformer and UHV power grid.The characteristic of magnetizing inrush current for UHV transformer was obtained by simulation.The paper also analyzed the impact on differential protection from it. Closing resistor inside circuit breaker method was proposed to restrain magnetizing inrush current.The method cuts down the amplitude and accelerated the attenuation speed of it, so as to restrain it. The simulation analysis verified the effectiveness of the method.
