Resume Efficacy and tolerability of metoproplol-retard was studied in elderly hypertensive patients compared to standard metoprolol tartrat. The antihypertensive effect, antiagnginal effect and changes of symptoms of heart failure were studied as well as patients compliance and orthostatic intolerance.
