Abstract An algorithm for generating the missing view corresponding to a given pair of orthoghonal views of a polyhedral solid is presented. The solution involves reconstructing the solids from the partial information given and then generating the missing view. The input is a vertex connectivity matrix describing the given views. Reconstruction of solids from incomplete orthographic views will have applications in computer-aided design, machine vision and automated inspection systems.

Characterized with auto inspecting ability, high-speed and accuracy, machine vision technology is one of the most important means in medicine packaging and food processing industries. A structural system based on PC, DSP and visual sensor is presented in this paper. A sub pixel edge detection algorithm in image processing for high precision automatic alignment system which was an urgent problem on the actual machine vision field. The algorithm uses the spatial moments to detect the location of the edge in sub-pixel which improved the analysis speed and optimized the application of the whole system.

The development and application of the machine vision technology is greatly liberating the human labor force and improved the production automation level and the situation of human life, which has very broad application prospects. The intelligent empty bottle inspection robot this paper studies is a typical application of the machine vision in the industrial detection. This paper mainly introduces the concept of machine vision, some important technology related to automatic cleaning robots and application of the machine vision in the production of all areas of life.
