In this study, a novel confidence indexing algorithm is proposed to minimize human labor in controlling the reliability of automatically extracted synsets from a non-machine-readable monolingual dictionary. Contemporary Turkish Dictionary of Turkish Language Association is used as the monolingual dictionary data. First, the synonym relations are extracted by traditional text processing methods from dictionary definitions and a graph is prepared in Lemma-Sense network architecture. After each synonym relation is labeled by a proper confidence index, synonym pairs with desired confidence indexes are analyzed to detect synsets with a spanning tree-based method. This approach can label synsets with one of three cumulative confidence levels (CL-1, CL-2, and CL-3). According to the confidence levels, synsets are compared with KeNet which is the only open access Turkish Wordnet. Consequently, while most matches with the synsets of KeNet is determined in CL-1 and CL-2 confidence levels, the synsets determined at CL-3 level reveal errors in the dictionary definitions. This novel approach does not find only the reliability of automatically detected synsets, but it can also point out errors of detected synsets from the dictionary.

Abstract: ‘Automation is the key in reducing the repetitive and banal tasks of everyday life’, the oft-quoted aphorism best portrays our effort at making a humanoid hand for tasks that require dexterity of fingers in situations where time and effort are of importance. The cost of human labor, quality of processes or products, time, and safety make this project a need of the hour. The research paper showcases our efforts of making a humanoid robotic arm. The body of the arm is composed of 3D printed parts. Servo Motors with nylon strings were used to control the fingers and the wrist. InMoov Nervo Board was used to control the servos. Worm Gear Mechanism was implemented to control the bicep movement and Worm Wheel is used for shoulder rotation. Machines can perform a wide range of functions without a considerable amount of human intervention. The future scope of Robotics and Automation would be to make a diverse and positive impact in industrial as well as research applications. Currently, vehicle number plate detection systems in general still use the manual method. This will take a lot of time and human effort. Thus, an automatic vehicle number plate detection system is needed because the number of vehicles that continues to increase will burden human labor. In addition, the methods used for vehicle number plate detection still have low accuracy because they depend on the characteristics of the object being used. This study develops a YOLO-based automatic vehicle number plate detection system. The dataset used is a pretrained YOLOv3 model of 700 data. Then proceed with the number plate text extraction process using the Tesseract Optical Character Recognition (OCR) library and the results obtained will be stored in the database. This system is web-based and API so that it can be used online and on the cross-platform. The test results show that the automatic number plate detection system reaches 100% accuracy with sufficient lighting and a threshold of 0.5 and for the results using the Tesseract library, the detection results are 92.32% where the system is successful in recognizing all characters on the license plates of cars and motorcycles. in the form of Alphanumeric characters of 7-8 characters.

This chapter examines the nature of work where human labor is a complement to machines and considers its import for social wellbeing. While dominant portrayals about the effects of work automation are often characterized by discourses of fear and hype, these have limited utility. The chapter proposes moving beyond fear and hype to consider the ways in which automation alters the organization of work and the human role. It asserts that, although essential, the human role in automation is often obscured. Drawing on the concepts of “fauxtomation,” “heteromation,” and human infrastructures, the chapter makes visible hidden forms of human labor in automated work and maintains that a positive strategy for social well-being is the recognition and revaluation of human work in automated processes.

Digitization is in the process of changing society on several levels. In connection with work, this development causes great uncertainty, as digitalization offers possibilities that could replace human labor with machine labor. INCLUDE sees digitization as an opportunity and aims to identify measures based on digital technologies to include workers with different needs in the labor market. In this publication, the project contents as well as project-related and technical reflections are offered in order to cover the topic in an application-oriented way.

This article presents the results obtained by implementing an application with an architecture based on the Internet of Things, applied to the production of red California earthworm, using an interface with which it is possible to monitor and collect data on temperature, humidity and PH with sensors that allow recording the necessary data. For the implementation, an experimental module was built in which the temperature and humidity variables were monitored, with the data obtained from the sensor measurements, the constant changes in temperature (between 20 to 29 ºC) and humidity (from 35% to 50%) were observed, This information made it possible to keep a weekly plan in which irrigation, aeration and compost mixing were attended to in a timely manner, reducing time, cost and human labor in the production of the red California earthworm and maintaining the reproduction of the red California earthworm in optimal conditions.

The English name Jack is one of the most common names in English-speaking countries, which has become a derivate for a large number of derived eponyms. The lack of a comprehensive study of this word family determines the relevance of our research. The article is made within the framework of comparative-historical linguistics, lexical semantics, and onomastics. The article aims to explore the structure of the derivative-semantic word family with a stem anthroponym eng. Jack. As a result, the structural types of secondary word family constituents and the main directions of semantic evolution of the creative lexeme and its common nouns derivatives, including phraseological units, were identified. All derived eponyms of the name Jack were divided into the following micro-families: representatives of living nature (males, plants, animals), inanimate objects (mechanisms – any things that have replaced human labor or with which something can be done) and an intermediate link of lexemes denoting the image of a man.

Humans are social beings who live in groups and form an order of social life such as building a country. One of the ways that the government takes to realize the welfare of its people is through development. With development, the right to welfare for the whole community can be achieved. The concept of welfare in development is not seen as the same thing. Every society in this world has a different level of wealth. This is because they do not only take into account gender differences, but also all vulnerable groups. Basically, development is held for improvement. This means the desire to grow based on individual or group strengths depends on the situation and condition of human labor and social structure. When viewed from the development process to date, there are still many disadvantages for vulnerable groups who also participate in economic growth in the community. Gender perspective is very important in determining policies that will be implemented for the development to the process and results, especially laws which do not regulate detrimental losses to vulnerable groups. This shows that women and other vulnerable groups should receive special attention in the development because they are at a higher risk of physical and non-physical violence.

Abstract: The need for cigarette consumption in Indonesia judging by the number of smokers is 64.5 million. As a result, each cigarette factory will produce continuously with one of the resources for production activities coming from human labor, where they are tasked with achieving company goals. However, in practice, human labor is always directed to have a high level of productivity by paying attention to the workload and fulfilling nutritional intake in order to minimize excessive fatigue and maintain stamina. This study was conducted to determine the partial impact of nutritional status and subjective fatigue level on the productivity of the cigarette-rolling workers at PT. X Kabupaten Malang. Where the model used is quantitative analysis with an analytical observational research design, namely a cross-sectional study. The instruments used include the International Fatigue Research Committee (IFRC) questionnaire, Glass Electronic Personal Scale with Camry brand model: EB9003, and Gea brand microtoise. The significance value of the nutritional status variable was 0.857 for the normal BMI category and 0.708 for the obese BMI category which showed no influence between nutritional status and productivity, and the significance value of the subjective fatigue level variable was 0.215 for the low subjective fatigue level category which showed no the effect of subjective fatigue level with productivity. Abstrak: Kebutuhan konsumsi rokok di Indonesia dilihat dari jumlah perokok ialah sebаnyаk 64,5 jutа рerоkоk. Akibatnya setiap pabrik rokok akan memproduksi secara kontinu dengan sumber daya untuk kegiatan produksi salah satunya berasal dari tenaga kerja manusia, dimana mereka bertugas untuk mencapai tujuan perusahaan. Namun dalam pelaksanaannya, tenaga kerja senantiasa diarahkan agar memiliki tingkat produktivitas tinggi dengan cara memperhatikan beban kerja serta pemenuhan asupan gizi guna meminimalisir kelelahan berlebih serta menjaga stamina. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh secara parsial antara status gizi dan tingkat kelelahan subjektif terhadap produktivitas tenaga kerja bagian linting rokok di PT. X Kabupaten Malang. Dimana model yang digunakan adalah analisis kuantitatif dengan rancangan penelitian observasional analitik yakni studi potong lintang. Instrumen yang digunakan antara lain kuesioner International Fatigue Research Committee (IFRC), Glass Electronic Personal Scale dengan merk Camry model: EB9003, serta microtoise merk Gea. Didapatkan nilai signifikansi dari variabel status gizi sebesar 0.857 untuk kategori IMT normal dan 0.708 untuk kategori IMT gemuk yang menunjukkan tidak ada pengaruh antara status gizi dengan produktivitas, serta nilai signifikansi dari variabel tingkat kelelahan subjektif sebesar 0.215 untuk kategori tingkat kelelahan subjektif rendah yang menunjukkan tidak ada pengaruh antara tingkat kelelahan subjektif dengan produktivitas.
