An efficient reversible fluorescent chemosensor, PEGFB, based on polyethylene glycol bearing a furan Schiff base unit has been successfully developed to sensitively detect Al3+ in pure aqueous solution.
A novel water soluble fluorescent sensor was synthesized by employing the carboxyl and imidazolyl moiety as the hydrophilic group site and Hg2+ binding site, whereas a naphthalimide moiety was used as the signal group.
A chromogenic and “off–on” fluorogenic chemodosimeter (L) based on a naphthalene–rhodamine B derivative was designed, synthesized and characterized for the selective and sensitive detection of Au3+ ions in mixed acetonitrile aqueous media.
