Quarkonia are mesons formed of either a charm and anti-charm quark pair (J/ψ, ψ(2S)) or a beauty and anti-beauty quark pair (ϒ(1S), (2S) and (3S)). We report on forward rapidity (2:5 < y < 4) J/ψ and ψ(2S) production measured in pp collisions at √s = 13 TeV, using data collected at the LHC in 2015. The results will be compared with similar measurements performed at √s = 2.76, 5.02, 7 and 8 TeV. They will be further compared to NRQCD and FONLL calculations, which describe prompt and non-prompt charmonium production respectively. Results of the J/ψ nuclear modification factor as a function of collision centrality in p–Pb collisions at [see formula in PDF] = 8.16 TeV, at forward and backward rapidities, will also be presented. These measurements will be compared with Run-1 (2009 – 2013) results as well as theoretical calculations and will be interpreted in terms of cold nuclear matter effects.

We present the measurements of [Formula: see text] production at mid-rapidity via the di-muon decay channel in p+p and p+Au collisions at [Formula: see text] = 200 GeV by the STAR experiment at RHIC. In p+p collisions, the measured inclusive [Formula: see text] cross section can be qualitatively described by model calculations. The [Formula: see text] polarization parameters, [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] as well as the frame-invariant quantity [Formula: see text], are presented as a function of transverse momentum in both the helicity and Collins-Soper frames. No significant polarization is observed. In addition, the nuclear modification factor for inclusive J/[Formula: see text] in p+Au collisions is similar to that measured in d+Au collisions and favors an additional nuclear absorption effect on top of the nuclear PDF effect.

Abstract In this paper we present a study of in-medium jet modifications performed with JEWEL and PYTHIA 6.4, focusing on the uncertainties related to variations of the perturbative scales and nuclear parton distribution functions (PDFs) and on the impact of the initial and crossover temperature variations of the medium. The simulations are compared to LHC data for the jet spectrum and the nuclear modification factor. We assess the interplay between the choice of nuclear PDFs and different medium parameters and study the impact of nuclear PDFs and the medium on the jet structure via the Lund plane.
