Along with the current processes of restructuring of Energy power system of Bosnia and Herzegovina, liberalization of the electricity market, and modernization of the existing power plants, Bosnia and Herzegovina must turn to the utilization of renewable resources in reason able dynamics as well. Respecting this policy, the initial Valuation of the potential of renewable erg resources in Bosnia and Herzegovina is per formed. The methodology of evaluation of wind energy utilization is presented in this paper, as well as some other aspects of utilization of the renewable energy resources in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Implementation of selected projects should improve sustainability of energy power production in Bosnia and Herzegovina, by reducing the total emission of carbon dioxide originated from energy power system of Bosnia and Herzegovina.


In India the electricity demand is growing rapidly day by day due to various increasing residential, official and organizational buildings which requires more power. Electricity generation system is dominated by a hybrid renewable energy resources like wind and solar, approximately 35% from 2007 to till now, still power shutdown is applied compulsory by the Indian Government. In order to improve the amount of power generation to 100% with increased thermal, fossil-fueled, and bio-gas power generation is converted into complete solar, wind and thermal including peaking options. In order to fulfil the demand, the wind capacity is increased from 35% into 100% by incorporating solar and thermal. Incorporating various energy systems into stand alone power grid, the highest power demand can be fulfilled. This paper applied an application for mixing various energy resource for increasing the power generation and production.

For small developing countries such as Fiji being devoid of conventional energy resources such as petroleum products, coal or natural gas, there is always heavy, and in many cases total, reliance on conventional energy sources for transportation, industries and for electricity generation. Fiji, like most of its South Pacific island neighbours, has relied very heavily on petroleum products for all of these, except for electricity generation since 1983, when hydro-electricity became the major source of electricity for the country.

Korea imports about 97% of its energy resources due to a lack of available energy resources. In this status, the role of nuclear power in electricity generation is expected to become more important in future years. In particular, a fast reactor system is one of the most promising reactor types for electricity generation, because it can utilize efficiently uranium resources and reduce radioactive waste. Acknowledging the importance of a fast reactor in a future energy policy, the long-term advanced SFR development plan was authorized by KAEC in 2008 and updated in 2011 which will be carried out toward the construction of an advanced SFR prototype plant by 2028. Based upon the experiences gained during the development of the conceptual designs for KALIMER, KAERI recently developed advanced sodium-cooled fast reactor (SFR) design concepts of TRU burner that can better meet the generation IV technology goals. The current status of nuclear power and SFR design technology development program in Korea will be discussed. The developments of design concepts including core, fuel, fluid system, mechanical structure, and safety evaluation have been performed. In addition, the advanced SFR technologies necessary for its commercialization and the basic key technologies have been developed including a large-scale sodium thermal-hydraulic test facility, super-critical Brayton cycle system, under-sodium viewing techniques, metal fuel development, and developments of codes, and validations are described as R&D activities.
