In this digital information age, electronic devices can improve the work efficiency and reduce work load in business, but sedentary and long-time work style undermines the health of white-collar workers in the office. By combining qualitative and quantitative analysis, we aimed to identify the factors affecting health of white-collar workers in the office. Based on user demands, we summarized the design concepts for office furniture, pre-selected functions of the furniture, built a layered function model for healthy office furniture, and performed weight calculation on the criterion layer and the measure layers. The analytic hierarchy process method was used to sequence the functions of healthy office furniture to provide new design ideas and a basis for design of healthy office furniture.

A method to analyze anonymous emails in digital forensics is presented in this paper. The frequent pattern-growth algorithm is used in the proposed method to analyze an email and obtain the structural email writing pattern of the user. The influence of a user's writing structural pattern on the analysis of an anonymous email varies. The analytic hierarchy process is used to calculate the weight of a user's different writing structural patterns. For a given anonymous email, matching the writing structural pattern and weight calculation can help investigators improve their decision making and determine the author of an anonymous email in forensic work.

Soil erosion is a global environmental problem. The affecting main factors for soil erosion processes are different due to the specific areas. The calculated results of soil erosion, by Ha Quang Hai and Tran Tuan Tu, demonstrated that Song Be basin is eroded very huge, about 321 tons/ha/year. The article is based on factors proposed by R.P.C Morgan in 2005, using the analytic hierarchy process AHP (Thomas L. Saaty, 1970) to determine the weights for these factors. Since then, the article concluded main factors affecting soil erosion at Song Be basin. Research results showed that the Terrain factor has the largest weight (0.30), followed by two factors: Plant cover (0.29) and Rain (0.28). The article also identified four main factors impacting on the soil erosion at Song Be basin, including: slope, land cover ratio, intensity of rainfall and slope length. These results will be the basis for subsequent studies to adjust USLE model more applicably for erosion characteristics in the researched area.

Relatively independent evaluation parameters are selected from many parameters through pedigree clustering.Learning the analytic hierarchy process (ahp) and entropy weight method can determine the weight, and at the same time to understand the error of the analytic hierarchy process (ahp) and entropy weight method is large, so the combination of the subjective and objective weight obtained by the two methods, using the improved entropy weight-ahp method to determine the weight. The improved weight calculation method has a clear hierarchical structure, which not only considers the influence of subjective and objective factors, but also makes full use of the weight information in the hierarchical structure. Considering the uncertainty of information, gray relation is adopted to deal with the data, so as to make maintenance rules.

Today, the use of herbal medicine like artichoke is rapidly increasing worldwide. The consumption of artichoke as a food source is raising too. Therefore, it is necessary to determine the main factors affecting the growth of this plant which is investigated in this study. A comprehensive analysis of the literature is performed to detect these factors. A fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is employed to prioritize the factors. Results indicate that the conditions of irrigation and soil are the most important ones. In addition, the best conditions for artichoke growth are the medium level of irrigation, soil with suitable drainage, low temperature and sufficient sunlight.

The purpose of this paper is to determine the factors affecting housing rental affordability of newly-graduates in metropolises in China. Social survey of questionnaire, analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and Delphi interview are the three main approaches applied in this paper. Factors affecting housing rental affordability of newly-graduates in metropolises are determined upon the sample of 4 biggest cities in China
