AbstractThe minimum breakdown requirement in magnetic field-driven sources, like inductively coupled plasmas, is examined. The minimum breakdown requirement is dominated by the ionization energy of the considered element. Therefore, a zinc plasma is relatively difficult to ignite compared to other metal plasmas.
