The aim of this study is to know the understanding ability of exercises of higher order thinking skill-based anecdote text in 10th grade students of senior high school 1 Tanjung Tiram. This study was conducted in the odd semester of the 2018/2019 academic year which was planned starting from the collection of knowledge data to the writing as a whole. The subjects of this study were 10th grade students of Senior High School 1 Tanjung Tiram as many as 30 students. The object carried out in this study is a guide to higher order thinking skill (HOTS)-based knowledge instruments. The result shows that the understanding ability of exercises of higher order thinking skill-based anecdote text the students get an average score of 60.56% in the "sufficient" category. Thus, it can be stated that a high level of knowledge instrument on students of senior high school 1 Tanjung Tiram with sufficient quality.

The purpose of this study was to develop a higher order thinking skill (HOTS) based test instrument on salt hydrolysis for senior high school students. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) using the Plomp model which consists of three stages, namely Preliminary Research, Prototyping Stage and Assessment Phase. The test instrument was validated by 7 experts, namely 4 chemistry lecturers of FMIPA UNP, and 3 chemistry teachers using a validation questionnaire. The small group trial was carried out by 6 students and the field test was carried out by 26 students of Senior High School number 1 in Padang. The data analysis technique for content validity uses Lawshe's CVR and the construct validity uses the aiken’s formula. The results showed that the instrument developed had good characteristics in terms of logical validity with a content validity index (CVI) of 0.841 and a construct validity of 0.82. The reliability coefficient of 0.89 is very high. The analysis of discriminating power showed 16 items had very good distinguishing quality, 4 items had good distinguishing quality, 4 items had moderate distinguishing quality. The difficulty index for 88% of the questions is categorized as medium. The correlation of the item score with a significant total score was 21 items. The dictator function on all items is effective. The data obtained shows that the test instrument based on higher order thinking skills (HOTS) on salt hydrolysis material for senior high school students is valid and has good item quality.

The purpose of this research to analyze exercise question on Mathematics textbook of senior high school which associated with higher order thinking skills (HOTS). HOTS according to Taxonomy Bloom can be classified into aspect: analysis (C4), evaluate (C5), and Create (C4).  This is a qualitative study using the method of evaluation in education field. The object of this research is exercise questions on mathematics textbook of senior high school used in SMA YPK Oikumene, Manokwari, West Papua. The instrument used to categorize the exercise question is operational verbs (KKO).  Data were analyzed using descriptive data analysis. Furthermore, the result shows that 3.90% question can be categorized as analysis domain, 0.65% questions reach evaluate domain, and there is no question can be group as create domain.

The aim of this research was to determine the correlation between comprehension reading skill and higher-order thinking skill with scientific literacy skill for senior high school biology teacher. This research was conducted in Kabupaten Bekasi using 64 senior high school biology teachers as samples. Samples were taken by using Simple Random Sampling. The method used in this research was descriptive quantitative and research hypothesis tested by Pearson Product Moment in α=0,05. The results obtained correlation coefficient value between: comprehension reading skill with scientific literacy skill is 0.280; higher-order thinking skill with scientific literacy skill is 0.252; comprehension reading skill and higher-order thinking skill simultaneously with scientific literacy skill is 0.321. Coefficient of determination test showed that: 7,8% of comprehension reading skill contribute to scientific literacy skill; 6,4% of higher-order thinking skill contribute to scientific literacy skill; 10,3% of comprehension reading skill and higher-order thinking skill contribute to scientific literacy skill. Hope this result research can be a basic reference for further research.

(3) Hasil uji coba lapangan menunjukkan perangkat pembelajaran efektif ditinjau dari HOTS siswa dengan persentase ketuntasan secara klasikal subjek uji coba lebih dari 75%.Kata Kunci: pengembangan, perangkat pembelajaran matematika, problem-based learning, higher order thinking skills Mathematics teaching kits based on PBL to develop hots of senior high school students  AbstractThis research is aimed at developing mathematics teaching kit based on problem-based learning which is valid, practical, and effective to develop the higher order thinking of grade X students senior high school in their second semester, which consists of lesson plan and students’ worksheet with test instrument. The research development used the model adapted from 4-D model developed by Thiagarajan with employing steps: defining, planning, developing, and disseminating. The tryout is conducted three steps: expert validation, limited tryout, and field tryout. The tryout subjects were teachers and students from two schools. The instruments used in this research were validation sheet, teacher’s assessment sheet, student’s assessment sheet, and test. The result of the research shows that the developed mathematics teaching kitbased on problem-based learning has met the aspect of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. (1) The result of validation shows that the lesson plan and the students’ worksheet are chategorized as valid with the Aiken analysis showing the index for the lesson plan has achieved 0.69 and the 0.70 for the students’ worksheet. (2) teh result of limited tryout shows that the developed of mathematics teaching kit is practical. (3) the result of field tryout shows that the developed of mathematics teaching is effective interm students’s HOTS with percentage of clasisical mastery subjects reached 75%.Keywords: development, mathematics teaching kit, problem-based learning, higher order thinking skills

The development of a descriptive text assessment instrument must be considered in the regularity of the questions in accordance with the question grid. Based on the results of observations at Junior High School (SMP) Methodist Charles Wesley Medan, the teacher gave a questionnaire only in the form of essay questions (explanations) even though, in tests or tests carried out it was actually not just essays, but multiple choices. Feasibility of Higher Order Thinking Skill-Based Descriptive Text Assessment Instruments which is Developed on 7th Grade Students of Junior High School (SMP) Methodist Charles Wesley Medan is eligible and suitable for use in learning. Based on material experts, evaluation experts, Indonesian language teacher assessments and student responses
