The results of calculation and theoretical investigation for the creation of a powerful (≈600 MW) pulsed MHD generator on the combustion products from solid (powder) plasma-forming fuel “Start-2” of a new generation are presented. The scheme, methods, results of calculations, and optimization of characteristics of the pulsed MHD generator with the self-excited resistive “iron-free” magnetic system are described. The local, integral, and specific energy and mass-dimensional characteristics are determined. The obtained characteristics are 1.5-2 times higher than those of the first generation MHD generator.

It is modified matrix of anatase in turn of the thermal and laser treatments. Thedependence of Gibbs energy change of the intercalation reaction of lithium with the guest loaddegree change was analyzed. Laser irradiation turned out to increase twice the value of maximumlithium “guest” loading, constricting heterophase area and changing contrarily concentrationgenesis of temperature dependence of entropy of lithium dilution. The optimal conditions of laserirradiation nanodispersive anatase (pulse energy E = 0,02 J, pulse duration τ = 15 ns repetitionfrequency f = 28 Hz, duration of exposure to 5 min.), at which specific energy characteristics of LPS,formed on its basis, increased by 55% is set

An effective method of increasing the energy characteristics of high-energy materials (HEMs) is the use of boron and metal borides powders, which have high values of specific energy released during oxidation and combustion. This study investigates powders of amorphous boron and aluminum borides, which are used in compositions of solid propellants based on ammonium perchlorate, ammonium nitrate, and active fuel-binder.

Ultrasonic vibration improved the machining performance of a variety of brittle materials, and achieved good results in brittle materials machining applications. In this paper, the experiment about precision sawing engineering ceramic by using a thin diamond blade with and without ultrasonic vibration conditions was investigated. It is aimed to explore the effect of ultrasonic vibration on specific energy. The results show that ultrasonic vibration makes specific sawing energy having a significant reduction during material removal process. Under the ultrasonic vibration condition, the engineering ceramic’s materials removal way is changed. It changed from plastic removal to the removal of brittle fracture, which reduced the energy consumption of material removal.
