The possibility for applying of the friction surfacing process for the production of steel-aluminum functional gradient layered compositions for tribotechnical purposes is considered. The effect of technological parameters of the friction surfacing process: the rotation frequency of the rod, the longitudinal linear speed of the rod movement and the substrate surface preliminary preparation method on the formation of the deposited layer is shown.
