In situ formation of two cyclic (alkyl) (amino) carbenes (CAACs) followed by addition of BF3•Et2O provided the first two examples of CAAC–BF3 complexes: 1-(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)-3,5,5-trimethyl-3-phenylpyrrolidin-2-ylidene trifluoroborane, and 2-(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)-3,3-dimethyl-2-azaspiro[4.5]decan-1-ylidene trifluoroborane. These CAAC–BF3 complexes are robust compounds that are stable to ambient laboratory conditions and silica gel chromatography. They were characterized by spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography. In contrast, a CAAC complex with borane (BH3) was readily formed in situ according to 1H and 11B NMR analysis, but did not survive the workup conditions. These results set the stage for further studies of the chemistry of CAAC boranes.

The bioceramics nanostructured have made important characteristics in biomedical applications, especially the calcium phosphate ceramics. The aim of this work is synthesis and characterization of calcium phosphate and nanocomposites powders, the method of dissolution of CaO in liquid medium, precipitation and formation of bone calcium phosphate matrix, and nanocomposites by adding the solution of phosphoric acid (H3PO4). The nanocomposites powders were synthesized using as strengthening silica gel nanometer (20nm) at concentrations of 1%, 2%, 3% and 5% by volume and subjected to heat treatment to 900°C for 2 hours, seeking obtained HA (Hydroxyapatite). Later the bone matrix of calcium phosphate and nanocomposites powders were subjected from process attrition milling for 2 hours, by way of comparison. The studies characterizations were conducted through the technique of X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and dilatometric test.

Y zeolite was synthesized form silica gel microsphere by in- situ hydrothermal method, with appropriate amount of other constituents, such as sodium silicate, water, without adding any organic additives. The as-synthesized samples were characterized using powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and N2 sorption. The results show that the synthesized sample not only has a composite structure with zeolite Y and silica gel, but also retains the shape of silica gel microsphere. The pore distribution of the composite materials indicated that the composite material contains two types of pore that are micropores and large pores.
