Abstract Comparative studies of three species T. circumcincta, T. trifurcata and T. davtiani, which are preliminarily different morphs of the same species, have been carried out in this paper. Insignificant differences in morphological sizes and characters between males were identified and fragments of ITS-2 ribosomal DNA of three species of the genus Teladorsagia were investigated. There were no sequence differences between T. circumcincta and T. trifurcata. Minor differences were noted between T. circumcincta and T. davtiani species at the level of 0.8%. With complete similarity between T. circumcincta and T. trifurcata and a low percentage of differences between T. circumcincta and T. davtiani in different specimens, they represent different morphological forms of one species of T. circumcincta.

The objective of this work was the identification and differentiation of Trichogramma exiguum Pinto and Platner species, T. pretiosum Riley, and T. galloi Zucchi using sequences of the ITS2 region of ribosomal DNA. After extracting DNA from the studied species, a PCR reaction was performed, where the amplified samples were subjected to sequencing. The sequences obtained were submitted to a similarity search in GenBank (NCBI - National Center for Biotechnology Information) using the BLAST program, aiming to determine the similarity of these sequences with the species already deposited in the referenced database, and then multiple sequences were aligned using version 2.0 of the ClustalX program. According to the results of the multiple alignments of all sequences obtained, it was possible to observe the differences between the T. pretiosum, T. galloi and T. exiguum species. It was concluded that using the sequences of the ITS2 region of the ribosomal DNA was efficient in the differentiation of the studied Trichogramma species, which suggests a strong inter-specific variation among species.

We have amplified and sequenced the 5.8S and 28S ribosomal DNA genes and intergenic regions of Paracoccidioides brasiliensis, strain Pb01. Using primers specifically designed for both ribosomal DNA regions, we were able to discriminate betweenP. brasiliensis and other human pathogenic fungi by PCR. The use of this molecular marker could be important for paracoccidiodomycosis diagnosis and ecological and molecular epidemiological studies of P. brasiliensis in Latin America.

New records of four species of the genus Lepiota (Agaricales, Basidiomycota) are reported from Ukraine. Three species, L. fuscovinacea, L. griseovirens, and L. roseolivida, are recorded in Ukraine for the first time, whereas a poorly known species, L. subalba, earlier known in Ukraine from a few records, is confirmed using molecular identification methods. All species reports are supplemented with original descriptions and drawings based on newly collected material, as well as data on general distribution, habitat, references to new collections and public databases. Original nucleotide sequence of the ITS region of ribosomal DNA obtained from our voucher specimen of L. subalba is provided.
