Abstract The development of housing construction demands an application of building materials which ensure necessary functional performance of structures, have high heat-insulating properties, are environmentally friendly and their use is economically appropriate. Simultaneous ensuring of mentioned indices is possible because of complex combined joining of building materials with different physical-mechanical properties. This article presents experimental determination of useful load for sandwich reinforced concrete – foamed concrete floor slabs. Sandwich reinforced concrete – foamed concrete floor slabs are the floor slabs which are composed of normal concrete, non-autoclaved foamed concrete and spatial reinforcement frame. Experimental determination of useful load was carried out on series that compose of four sandwich reinforced concrete – foamed concrete floor slabs. Experimental test of sandwich reinforced concrete – foamed concrete floor slabs was carried out under condition of pure bending that was achieved by applying to floor slab in one third of its span two concentrated forces equal in magnitude. Useful load for sandwich reinforced concrete – foamed concrete floor slabs was 33.23÷77.87 kN/m2. Sandwich reinforced concrete – foamed concrete floor slabs are proposed to be used in construction of housing and social structures.

With the improvement of the level of architectural science and technology and the modern development of the residential industry higher requirement on building materials and environmental protection was brought forward.Based on the static loading experiment of four reinforced concrete floor slabs, two ordinary and two superimposed with connections, the paper studied their loading mechanism and bending performance, such as deformation, cracks, bearing limit and fail characteristics. Finally, proposals for superimposed slabs' design were put forward, popularization and application of new composite wall plate provides realistic basis.

This article presents the results of an experimental research of sandwich reinforced concrete-foamed concrete floor slabs. These floor slabs combine three different materials — normal concrete, foamed concrete and a steel reinforcement. As experimental models six beams with dimensions L × b × h = 4200 × 500 × 200mm were made. Experimental beams were established on two supports (hinged fixed support and hinged movable support). The experimental study of these beams was executed by two concentrated forces in thirds of beam’s span. Received results allowed to describe a behaviour of sandwich reinforced concrete-foamed concrete floor slabs under loading. Moreover, these researches allowed to present suggestions regarding calculations of bearing capacity of sandwich reinforced concrete-foamed concrete floor slabs. These suggestions will give an opportunity to use sandwich reinforced concrete-foamed concrete floor slabs in civil engineering and house building.

The article offers a method and program for experimental studies of reinforced concrete structures with cross-shaped spatial crack under torsion with bending, the main purpose of which is to check the design assumptions and experimental determination of the design parameters of the proposed calculation method. The conducted experimental studies provide an opportunity to test the proposed calculation apparatus and clarify the regularities for determining deflections, angles of rotation of extreme sections, and stresses in the compressed zone of concrete. For analysis, the article presents a typical experimental scheme for the formation and development of cracks in the form of a sweep, as well as characteristic graphs of the dependence of the angles of rotation of end sections.
