The neurological manifestations of systemic lupus erythematosus are protean: headache, affective disorders, cognitive dysfunction, seizures, strokes, psychosis, acute confusional states, myelopathies, chorea, mimics of demyelinating disease, meningitis, polyneuropathy, mononeuropathy or mononeuritis multiplex, cranial neuropathies, autonomic dysfunction, Guillain-Barre syndrome, or myasthenia gravis make an incomplete list.
