Starting from the known representation of the Kac–Moody algebra in terms of the coordinates and momenta, we extend it to the representation of the super Kac–Moody and super Virasoro algebras. Then we use general canonical method to construct an action invariant under local gauge symmetries, where components of the super energy–momentum tensor L± and G± play the role of the diffeomorphisms and supersymmetry generators respectively. We obtain covariant extension of WZNW theory with respect to local supersymmetry as well as explicit expressions for gauge transformations.

We study the regularization ambiguities in an exact renormalized (1 +1)-dimensional field theory. We show a relation between the regularization ambiguities and the coupling parameters of the theory as well as their role in the implementation of a local gauge symmetry at quantum level.

Models of low energy supersymmetry require some additional symmetry beyond the known gauge symmetries. The usual preference for R parity, which leads to the standard low energy supersymmetry model, has no clear theoretical motivation. The alternative models with minimal field content are reviewed. In one case R parity is spontaneously broken by a large sneutrino vev. In three other cases R parity is replaced by an alternative symmetry; baryon number, lepton number or ZN.

We analyze the CP asymmetry in flavor-specific decays [Formula: see text] for the [Formula: see text] mixing in the extension of the minimal supersymmetric standard model where baryon and lepton numbers are local gauge symmetries (BLMSSM). Considering the constraint of a 125 GeV Higgs, the numerical results indicate that the theoretical prediction of [Formula: see text] agrees with the current experimental result. For certain parameter sets, the BLMSSM contributions can be sizeable in [Formula: see text] mixing and CP asymmetry in B decays, which may help understand questions in cosmology.

We construct a sequence of nilpotent BRST charges in RNS superstring theory, based on new gauge symmetries on the worldsheet, found in this paper. These new local gauge symmetries originate from the global nonlinear space–time α-symmetries, shown to form a noncommutative ground ring in this work. The important subalgebra of these symmetries is U (3) × X6, where X6 is solvable Lie algebra consisting of six elements with commutators reminiscent of the Virasoro type. We argue that the new BRST charges found in this work describe the kinetic terms in string field theories around curved backgrounds of the AdS × CP n-type, determined by the geometries of hidden extra dimensions induced by the global α-generators. The identification of these backgrounds is however left for the work in progress.

A general method is given for the construction of gauge-fixed actions for theories with local gauge symmetries. The method is based on the single requirement that the space of fields carries an irreducible representation of the Sp(2)-BRST algebra, with respect to which the resultant actions are then automatically invariant.
