The CDF and DØ detectors were fully commissioned for physics running in Run II at the Tevatron [Formula: see text] collider in early 2002. Since then both experiments have collected data samples corresponding to an integrated luminosity of around ∫L=200 pb -1 at a [Formula: see text] centre-of-mass energy of [Formula: see text]. Datasets corresponding ∫L=120 pb-1 have been analyzed for physics so far. Recent electroweak measurements from Run II are reviewed. Cross section times branching ratio measurements (σ· Br ) are presented for the intermediate vector bosons (IVB's) in their leptonic decay modes: W→ℓν and Z→ℓ+ℓ-. For the first time, a combination of the σ· Br results from the CDF and DØ experiments is made; this includes using a consistent choice of the total inelastic [Formula: see text] cross section for the luminosity determinations of the two experiments. Quantities derived from these σ· Br values are also updated. These include: R ℓ the ratio of the σ· Br values for W and Z; Br (W→ℓν), the leptonic branching ratio of the W; and Γw, the total decay width of the W. Other measurements using events containing W and Z leptonic decays are presented, including studies that probe the QCD phenomenology of W/Z production and searches for events containing two intermediate vector bosons.

Differential distributions in the π0π0γ system created in the annihilation channel of an electron–positron collision are considered. The energy fractions of the pions (Dalitz-plot) distribution are presented in a general form and in approximation of intermediate vector mesons (excited and ordinary ones). It is pointed out that in relevant experiments the generalized polarizability of the neutral pion can be measured. Numerical illustrations are presented.

We report the results of the first computation related to the study of the spectator effects in the rare decay mode B→Kγγ within the framework of Standard Model. It is found that the account of these effects results in the enhancement factor for the short-distance reducible contribution to the branching ratio.

The search for the decay η → e+e- was carried out using the WASA detector at the COSY storage ring. Data were taken during a two week experimental run in Sept-Nov 2008 in which about 107 η mesons were collected from the reaction of pp → ppη at energy of 1.4 GeV. Background studies were performed for several different reactions. The performance of the WASA detector for the measurement of electron-positron pairs based on the single Dalitz decay of the η meson was studied. We also identified a statistically significant data sample of other more frequent leptonic decays.

We propose an experiment to search for invisible decays of orthopositronium (o-Ps) with the 90% confidence sensitivity in the branching ratio as low as 10-8. Evidence for this decay mode would unambiguosly signal new physics: either the existence of extra–dimensions or fractionally charged particles or new light gauge bosons. The experimental approach and the detector components of the proposed experiment are described.
