In the title complex, [CuCl2(C6H7N)2(CH3OH)], the copper atom is five-coordinated by two nitrogen atoms of 2-methylpyridine ligands, two chloro ligands and an oxygen atom of the methanol molecule, being in a tetragonal–pyramidal environment with N and Cl atoms forming the basal plane. In the crystal, complex molecules related by the twofold rotation axis are joined into dimeric units by pairs of O—H...Cl hydrogen bonds. These dimeric units are assembled through C—H...Cl interactions into layers parallel to (001).

The ZnIIatom in the title complex, [ZnCl2(C4H6N2S2)2], is coordinated in a distorted tetrahedral manner by two Cl atoms and two terminal N atoms of two dimethylN-cyanodithioiminocarbonate ligands. In the crystal, the complex molecules are connected through C—H...Cl hydrogen bonds and Cl...S contacts, leading to a two-dimensional structure extending parallel to theabplane.

In the dinuclear title complex, [Ag2Cl2(C7H8N2S)(C25H22P2)2]·0.5CH3CN, each AgIion displays a distorted tetrahedral coordination geometry with two P atoms from two bis(diphenylphosphanyl)methane (dppm) ligands, one bridging chloride ion, one terminal chloride ion and one terminal S atom from theN,N′-phenylthiourea (ptu) ligand. The dppm ligands and the bridging chloride ion force the two Ag atoms into close proximity, with a short Ag...Ag separation of 3.2064 (2) Å. In the crystal, complex molecules are linked by N—H...Cl hydrogen bonds forming a dimer. The dimers are linkedviaweak C— H...Cl hydrogen bonds forming a two-dimensional supramolecular architecture in theyzplane. In addition, an intramolecular N—H...Cl hydrogen bond is observed.

The title complex, [Co(C2N3)2(C7H6N4)2(H2O)2] or [Co(dca)2(pytrz)2(H2O)2], where pytrz is 4-(2-pyridyl)-4H-1,2,4-triazole and dca is the dicyanamide monoanion, was prepared using pytrz, Na(dca) and CoCl2·6H2O. The CoII atom lies on a center of inversion and is coordinated in a slightly distorted octahderal geometry by two pytrz ligands, two dca ligands and two trans-oriented water molecules. In the crystal structure, complex molecules are linked by O—H...N hydrogen bonds into a two-dimensional network and further into a three-dimensional network via weak C—H...N hydrogen bonds.

In the molecule of the title compound, C16H20N2O6S2, the mid-point of the C—C bond of the central ethane moiety is located on a twofold rotation axis. In the crystal, molecules are linked by N—H...O hydrogen bonds into supramolecular chains propagating along the [101] direction. Hirshfeld surface analysis and two-dimensional fingerprint plots indicate that the most important contributions to the crystal packing are from H...H (43.1%), O...H/H...O (40.9%), C...H/H...C (8.8%) and C...C (5.5%) interactions.

In the crystal structure of the title mononuclear CuIIcomplex, [Cu(C11H16N3O2)(NO3)]·0.25C2H5OH, the complex molecules are linked by N—H...O and O—H...O hydrogen bonds, forming a dimer with an approximate non-crystallographic twofold rotation axis of symmetry. In the monomeric unit, the Cu2+ion exhibits a distorted square-pyramidal configuration, whereby the anionic [HL]−Schiff base ligand binds in a tetradentate fashionviathe O and the three N atoms which all are approximately coplanar. The O atom of a nitrate anion occupies the fifth coordination site, causing the CuIIatom to move slightly out of the approximate basal plane toward the bound nitrate group. The structure exhibits disorder of the ethanol solvent molecule.

In the title complex, [CdCl2(C11H10N4)2(H2O)2]·6H2O, the CdII atom is located on a twofold rotation axis and is coordinated by two N atoms from two 1-[(1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)methyl]-1H-imidazole ligands and two water O atoms in equatorial positions and by two Cl atoms in axial positions, leading to an elongated octahedral environment. The two coordinating and two of the lattice water molecules are also located on twofold rotation axes. In the crystal, complex molecules and solvent water molecules are linked through a complex intermolecular N—H...O, O—H...N, O—H...O and O—H...Cl hydrogen-bonding scheme into a three-dimensional network.

In the crystal structure of the title complex, [CuII(C3H6NS2)Cl(C12H8N2)], the CuII atom has a distorted square-pyramidal coordination geometry comprising one S,S′-bidentate dimethyldithiocarbamate (Me2dtc) ligand, one N,N′-bidentate 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) ligand and an apical Cl atom. A mirror plane passes through the Cu and Cl atoms, and also through the Csp 2—N bond of the dithiocarbamate. The complex molecules are linked together by C—H...Cl hydrogen bonds, forming a bilayered one-dimensional chain along the a axis.

The title dinuclear CuIIcomplex, [Cu2(C17H13N2O2)4], is located on an inversion centre. The CuIIatoms are each five-coordinated in a distorted square-pyramidal geometry by two N atoms and two O atoms from two bidentate ligands and one bridging O atom from another ligand. In the dinuclear complex, the Cu...Cu separation is 3.366 (3) Å. In the crystal, complex molecules are linkedviaweak C—H...O hydrogen bonds, forming a layer parallel to (-101).

In the mononuclear title complex, [CuI(C2H3N)(C26H24N2)], the CuIion has a distorted tetrahedral coordination environment, defined by two N atoms of the chelating 2-(naphthalen-1-yl)-6-[(2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)imino]pyridine ligand, one N atom of an acetonitrile ligand and one iodide ligand. Within the complex, there are weak intramolecular C—H...N hydrogen bonds, while weak intermolecular C—H...I interactions between complex molecules, help to facilitate a three-dimensional network.

The solvated title compound, [ZnCl2(C20H17BrN2)]·0.5CH2Cl2, comprises a bidentate iminopyridine ligand and two Cl atoms bound to a zinc2+cation in a distorted tetrahedral arrangement. The chelate bond lengths are consistent with localized C=N double bonds and a C—C single bond, as expected for an unreduced ligand bound to a closed-shell transition metal cation. Apart from weak nonclassical C—H...Cl hydrogen bonds between the complex molecules and the disordered solvent molecules (occupancy = 0.5), no further significant intermolecular interactions are observed.
