Small unmanned aircraft for civil and military has a wide range of applications. The design of traditional UAV avionics system is use discrete lines which link one point to another to communicate. It will make the system complexity, and the anti-jamming performance is poor. A new kind of design idea of unpiloted aircraft digital avionics system based on CAN bus is introduced, and this article also made a further study in the avionics systems’ critical subsystems, components and redundant design. The new avionics system, which used bus communication system has many good points, such as strong anti-interference ability, easily extended, simply configuration and so on. The system also has a certain value to promotion.

Designing, implementing and evaluating the performance of a humanoid robot arm, we verified its applicability and effectiveness based on the Serial Real-Time Communication System (SERCOS), which follows the concept of modularization corresponding to projected research. We also proposed single joint design modular for humanoid robot arm systems.

The National Space Development Agency of Japan launched ETS-VII (Engineering Test Satellite No.7) on November 28, 1997, to conduct rendezvous docking and space robot technology experiments. ETS-VII is the world's first satellite that used a robot arm on a satellite. The robot arm was 2m long and was teleoperated from a ground control station. Mission of ETS-VII lasted for two years and yielded much experience and many results. This paper summarizes experiences and results of the ETS-VII robot satellite.

Existing ship electronic equipment are based on serial interfaces in accordance with NEMA0183 Protocol for the exchange of information, complex low transfer rates, lines, nodes exist, poor reliability shortcomings. Fieldbus (CAN) to its high anti-interference ability and higher traffic rates made up for these shortcomings, has been widely applied to automotive electronics, but in application of ship data communication has not been very good. CAN bus technology with outstanding reliability, timeliness and flexibility for the development of modern marine communication system offers a new way.
