Existing ship electronic equipment are based on serial interfaces in accordance with NEMA0183 Protocol for the exchange of information, complex low transfer rates, lines, nodes exist, poor reliability shortcomings. Fieldbus (CAN) to its high anti-interference ability and higher traffic rates made up for these shortcomings, has been widely applied to automotive electronics, but in application of ship data communication has not been very good. CAN bus technology with outstanding reliability, timeliness and flexibility for the development of modern marine communication system offers a new way.

According to this analysis, we designed a scenario on lower extremity rehabilitation robot communication system based on CAN bus and efficiently solved the problems of low signal processing, computing power and data transfer rate ability for the traditional means of communication of RS232 and RS485.The research deals with the characteristics of communication systems and topological structure, and specifically, with CAN bus protocol design and hardware and software implementation aspects of Communication System designing for some robot sensor.

In order to solve the problem that vehicle diagnostic system is of bad uniformity and versatility, which due to the different vehicle diagnostic system communication protocols developed by the different vehicle OEMs according to their own needs, this paper proposes a design method of vehicle CAN bus diagnostic communication module based on AUTOSAR standard. This module follow the AUTOSAR standard and it can be implemented in accordance with the international standard ISO 15765. The results of the test show that when this module is applied to some car dashboard, it can satisfy the needs of the vehicle diagnostic communication system, and it is of good standardization, versatility and portability.

CAN bus was widely used in embedded system development, but most embedded processors without CAN bus controller, need to extend external CAN bus interface through external bus. In order to send and receive the CAN bus data by S3C2440 chip, interface function of S3C2440 was extended by MCP2515 chip in the paper, which was used the SPI interface to extend CAN bus interface. The design of CAN bus hardware interface was described in the paper. The design of CAN device drive program on the embedded Linux operating system was specified in detail.
