ABSTRACT The new virus vB_BveP-Goe6 was isolated on the host organism Bacillus velezensis FZB42. The virus morphology indicated its association with the genus Phi29virus . The genome of vB_BveP-Goe6 (19,105 bp) comprises a linear chromosome with a GC content of 39.99%. The genome harbors 26 putative protein-coding genes and a noncoding packaging RNA.

Methanothermobacter sp. strain THM-1, a thermophilic and hydrogenotrophic methanogen, was isolated from an anaerobic reactor enriched with thermophilic methanogens. The genome of THM-1 shares 98.81% of its sequence with Methanothermobacter wolfeii isolate SIV6 and consists of 1,724,502 bp with 1,665 protein-coding genes, 50 noncoding RNAs, and a GC content of 48.6%.

ABSTRACT The complete genome sequence of the unique virulent bacteriophage BRock, isolated from compost on Streptomyces sp. strain SFB5A, was determined. BRock is a myovirus with a 112,523-bp genome containing a GC content of 52.3%. There were 188 protein-coding genes predicted, including structural and enzymatic proteins, but none predicted for lysogeny. Twenty-nine tRNAs were predicted.

ABSTRACT Klebsiella pneumoniae is associated with antibiotic-resistant nosocomial infections. Here, we present the annotated genome sequence of the Klebsiella jumbo phage Muenster. The Muenster genome sequence (346,937 bp) encodes 6 tRNAs and 561 putative protein-coding genes, including 9 tail fibers, suggesting a genetic mechanism to broaden the host range.

ABSTRACT A moderately acidophilic Geobacter sp. strain, FeAm09, was isolated from forest soil. The complete genome sequence is 4,099,068 bp with an average GC content of 61.1%. No plasmids were detected. The genome contains a total of 3,843 genes and 3,608 protein-coding genes, including genes supporting iron and nitrogen biogeochemical cycling.

Limnoraphis robusta CS-951 is a sheathed, filamentous benthic, nonheterocystous cyanobacterium. It was isolated from brackish water and identified morphologically as Lyngbya majuscula . We report the draft genome of L. robusta CS-951, with a genome size of 7,314,117 bp, a 41.6% GC content, and 6,791 putative protein-coding genes assembled into 361contigs.

Bacillus velezensis AL7, isolated from cotton soil, had strong antagonistic activity to Verticillium dahlia Kleb. The AL7 genome consisted of one chromosome with 3,894,709 bp (46.64% G+C content). Genome annotation predicted 3,706 protein-coding genes, 86 tRNAs, and 27 rRNAs. We sequenced and annotated the complete AL7 genome to help us better understand use of this strain.

ABSTRACT Stenotrophomonas maltophilia is a Gram-negative pathogen causing severe and often refractory illnesses such as pneumonia and bacteremia. We present the genome of phage Salva, a novel S. maltophilia phage that is not closely related to any phages currently deposited in GenBank. The genome is 60,789 bp, containing 102 putative protein-coding genes.
