ABSTRACT We report here the complete genome sequence of the Vibrio cholerae O1 bv. El Tor Ogawa strain V060002, isolated in 1997. The data demonstrate that this clinical strain has a single chromosome resulting from recombination of two prototypical chromosomes.

ABSTRACTVibrio choleraeis a Gram-negative waterborne human pathogen and the causative agent of cholera. Here, we present the complete genome sequence of the seventh pandemic O1 biovar El Tor Inaba strain A1552 isolated in 1992. This clinical strain has served as an important model strain for studying cholera pathogenicity traits.

ABSTRACT Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis G50 is a strain with immunostimulating activity, isolated from Napier grass ( Pennisetum purpureum ). We determined the complete genome sequence of this strain using the PacBio RS II platform. The single circular chromosome consists of 2,346,663 bp, with 35.03% G+C content and no plasmids.

We isolated Pseudomonas otitidis strain MrB4 from the near-shore area of Lake Biwa in Japan and generated its complete genome sequence. MrB4 possesses a single circular chromosome of 6,089,454 bp, with ∼97% average nucleotide identity to the P. otitidis type strain MCC10330 (draft genome).

A novel strain of Alteromonas, I4, was isolated from a shallow beach of the Japan Sea. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of I4; this strain contains a single circular chromosome (5,133,645 bp; G+C content, 48.4%) and a single circular putative plasmid (123,836 bp; G+C content, 45.1%).

We report the genome of Rhodococcus opacus strain MoAcy1 ( DSM 44186 ), an aerobic soil isolate capable of using acetylene as its primary carbon and energy source (acetylenotrophy). The genome is composed of a single circular chromosome of ∼8 Mbp and two closed plasmids, with a G+C content of 67.3%.
