Sphingobium sp. strain PNB can completely degrade phenanthrene, naphthalene, and biphenyl as the sole carbon and energy source. The strain is also capable of cometabolizing benzo[a]pyrene, pyrene, acenaphthene, fluoranthene, etc. Here, we report the 5.69-Mb assembly and annotation of the genome sequence of strain PNB, obtained using Illumina sequencing.

ABSTRACT Here, we report the draft whole-genome sequence of an anthracene-degrading bacterium, Mycolicibacterium frederiksbergense strain LB501T, using the PacBio and Illumina sequencing platforms. The complete genome sequence of strain LB501T consists of 6,713,618 bp and provides new insights into its metabolic capabilities, including aromatic conversion pathways with promiscuous activities.

Pannonibacter phragmitetus CGMCC9175 is a halotolerant polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH)-degrading bacterium isolated from PAH-contaminated intertidal zone sediment. Here, we report the 5.7-Mb draft genome sequence of this strain, which will provide insights into the diversity of Pannonibacter and the mechanism of PAH degradation in sediments.
