ABSTRACT Bacillus albus is a new species, but it lies on the borderline with Bacillus thuringiensis. In this work, we report a strain previously identified as Bacillus thuringiensis IB84, which now, based on average nucleotide identity and rRNA 16S, gyrB, groEL, and xre gene sequences, must be identified as Bacillus albus.

We report here the annotated draft genome sequence of the rhizobium strain BR 2003. This strain is able to establish symbiosis and to fix nitrogen with a broad range of leguminous species. The estimation of the average nucleotide identity confirmed the strain as a member of Bradyrhizobium elkanii.

Here, we report the draft genome sequence of Acidovorax sp. strain NB1, isolated from an enrichment culture of nitrite-oxidizing bacteria (NOB). Genes involved in denitrification were found in the draft genome of NB1. The closest strain to NB1 based on genomic relatedness is Acidovorax sp. strain GW101-3H11, with 91.5% average nucleotide identity.

We report the draft genome sequence of Bacillus cytotoxicus CVUAS 2833, isolated from potato puree in Germany (2007), which is—despite its clearly different source—very similar to the type strain B. cytotoxicus NVH 391-98 isolated in France (average nucleotide identity, 99.5%).

The draft genome sequence of the type strain Saccharopolyspora hirsuta subsp. hirsuta VKM Ac-666 was sequenced. This moderately thermophilic actinobacterial strain of sugarcane bagasse origin is able to transform different steroid substrates.

ABSTRACT We report an improved de novo draft genome sequence of the human-pathogenic strain Nocardia terpenica IFM 0706T. The resequencing unveiled that the genome size is larger than anticipated, reducing significantly the number of contigs and building a basis for comparison with the closely related strain N. terpenica IFM 0406.

We report here a draft genome sequence of an ex-type strain of Aspergillus neoellipticus, NRRL 5109, which was isolated from pus of a case of chronic emphysema. The final assembly consists of 160 scaffolds totaling 27.55 Mbp (G+C content, 49.96%) and 8,858 predicted genes.

ABSTRACT Here, we present the draft genome sequence of Vibrio splendidus type strain DSM 19640. V. splendidus is an abundant species among coastal vibrioplankton. The assembly resulted in a 5,729,362-bp draft genome with 5,032 protein-coding sequences, 6 rRNAs, and 117 tRNAs.
