The perturbative QCD approach is based on kT factorization, including the Sudakov form factors so that to avoid the endpoint singularity. In this approach, we calculate the charmless B decays like B → ππ decays etc. to produce the right number of branching ratios and also CP asymmetry parameters. For final states with at least one charmed meson, like B → Dπ decays, our results also agree with the experiments.

We review the perturbative QCD approach study of hadronic B decays. Utilizing the constrained parameters in these well measured decay channels, we study most of the possible charmless Bs → PP, PV and VV decay channels in the perturbative QCD approach. In addition to the branching ratios and CP asymmetries, we also give predictions to the polarization fractions of the vector meson final states. The size of SU (3) breaking effect is also discussed. These predictions can be tested by the future LHCb experiment.

Exclusive semileptonic B decays into excited charmed mesons [Formula: see text] are studied up to the order of 1/mQin the framework of the heavy quark effective field theory (HQEFT), which contains the contributions of both particles and antiparticles. Two wave functions [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text], which characterize the contributions from the kinematic operator at the order of 1/mQ, are calculated by using QCD sum rule approach in HQEFT. Zero recoil values of other two wave functions [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] are extracted from the excited charmed-meson masses. Possible effects from the transition wave functions arising from the chromomagnetic operators at the order of 1/mQare analyzed. It is shown that the experimental measurements for the branching ratios of B→D1lν and [Formula: see text] can be understood in the framework of HQEFT.

Inspired by the recent measurements on theJ/ψ(1S)→Dsρ,DuK⁎weak decays at BESIII and the potential prospects of charmonium at high-luminosity heavy-flavor experiments, we studyψ(1S,2S)andηc(1S,2S)weak decays into final states including one charmed meson plus one light meson, considering QCD corrections to hadronic matrix elements with QCD factorization approach. It is found that the Cabibbo-favoredψ(1S,2S)→Ds-ρ+,Ds-π+,D¯u0K¯⁎0decays have large branching ratios≳10-10, which might be accessible at future experiments.

AbstractWe study the CP violation in two-body nonleptonic decays of $$B_c$$ B c meson. We concentrate on the decay channels which contain at least one excited heavy meson in the final states. Specifically, the following channels are considered: $$B_c\rightarrow c{\bar{c}}(2S, 2P)+{\bar{c}}q(1S, 1P)$$ B c → c c ¯ ( 2 S , 2 P ) + c ¯ q ( 1 S , 1 P ) , $$B_c\rightarrow c{\bar{c}}(1S)+{\bar{c}}q(2S, 2P)$$ B c → c c ¯ ( 1 S ) + c ¯ q ( 2 S , 2 P ) , $$B_c\rightarrow c{\bar{c}}(1P)+{\bar{c}}q(2S)$$ B c → c c ¯ ( 1 P ) + c ¯ q ( 2 S ) , $$B_c\rightarrow c{\bar{c}}(1D)+{\bar{c}}q(1S, 1P)$$ B c → c c ¯ ( 1 D ) + c ¯ q ( 1 S , 1 P ) , and $$B_c\rightarrow c{\bar{c}}(3S)+{\bar{c}}q(1S)$$ B c → c c ¯ ( 3 S ) + c ¯ q ( 1 S ) . The improved Bethe-Salpeter method is applied to calculate the hadronic transition matrix element. Our results show that some decay modes have large branching ratios, which is of the order of $$10^{-3}$$ 10 - 3 . The CP violation effect in $$B_c \rightarrow \eta _c(1S)+D(2S)$$ B c → η c ( 1 S ) + D ( 2 S ) , $$B_c \rightarrow \eta _c(1S)+D_0^{*}(2P)$$ B c → η c ( 1 S ) + D 0 ∗ ( 2 P ) , and $$B_c \rightarrow J/\psi +D^{*}(2S)$$ B c → J / ψ + D ∗ ( 2 S ) are most likely to be found. If the detection precision of the CP asymmetry in such channels can reach the $$3\sigma $$ 3 σ level, at least $$10^7$$ 10 7 $$B_c$$ B c events are needed.

We study the large branching ratios of B→ηK* decays and the time-dependent CP asymmetry SϕKS anomaly of B→ϕKS decay in a flavor changing Z′ model associated with flavor changing neutral currents at the tree level. Considering the right-handed flavor changing couplings and setting ξLL = ξRL = ξLR = ξRR = ξ, we obtain 0.011 < ξ < 0.0131, this parameter region could give a simultaneous explanation to these anomalies of B→ηK* and B→ϕKS decays. The results are consistent with the constraints and the assumptions of some references.
