We have made a modification of a very heuristic relationship available in the literature between the parameter space distance and the embedding space distance on the string worldsheet. This modification along with the input of numerically determined values of the fractal dimension of the fermionic worldsheet and of the Wilson scaling dimensions of conventional ψ2 and ψ4-field theories enables a numerical calculation of the critical exponents α and β of the 3D Ising model. These values are in very good agreement with the experimental and other theoretical values.

Critical exponents α and β for the 3D Ising model have been obtained by a study of partial non-renormalization of superconformal dimensions of matter fields on (2, 0) supersymmetric string world-sheet. An ansatz has been used to calculate the exact numerical values which are in excellent agreement with experimental and other theoretical results.

ABSTRACTIn order to take into account the actual morphology of the inhomogeneous media, we have developed, effective medium models based on a 2D and 3D position space renormalization /1,2/. These models predict the dipolar resonance and the percolation transition with critical exponents in good agreement with theoretical values and fairly reproduce most of the experimental results, whatever the concentration is. Further more, this allows a valuable comparison of the predictions of our models when applied on different lattices like real digitized TEM of cermet films or randomly occupied lattices.

The dynamic critical behavior of the three-dimensional Heisenberg model with longrangecorrelated disorder was studied by using short-time Monte Carlo simulations at criticality. The static and dynamic critical exponents are determined. The simulation was performed fromordered initial state. The obtained values of the exponents are in a good agreement with resultsof the field-theoretic description of the critical behavior of this model in the two-loopapproximation.
