We present recent measurements of τ decays into final states with kaons, which are based on several hundred million τ+τ- pairs produced in electron-positron annihilation data collected with the BABAR detector. These measurements can be used to determine the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element |Vus| with a tiny systematic error and in two different methods affected by different systematic effects.

The QCD factorization expression has been revisited to the sum of two spin-dependent structure functions ĝ1 and ĝ2 for e++e-→B+X. We find that there exist some spurious quark-mass contributions in an expression derived earlier by Lu, Li and Hu. Their removal guarantees that the measurements of ĝ1 and ĝ2 indeed construct a determination of twist-three transverse spin-dependent fragmentation function, ĝT, in the case of inclusive Λ production in electron–positron annihilation.

We calculate the double charmonium production cross-section within the framework of 4×4 Bethe-Salpeter Equation in the electron-positron annihilation, at center of mass energy s=10.6GeV, that proceeds through the exchange of a single virtual photon. In this calculation, we make use of the full Dirac structure of 4D BS wave functions of these charmonia, with the incorporation of all the Dirac covariants (both leading and subleading). The calculated cross-sections for the double charmonium productions for final states, (J/Ψ,ηc), (Ψ′,ηc), (J/Ψ,ηc′), and (Ψ′,ηc′), are close to experimental data and in broad agreement with results of other theoretical models.
