A kind of generalized convex set, called as local star-shapedE-invex set with respect toη,is presented, and some of its important characterizations are derived. Based on this concept, a new class of functions, named as semilocalE-preinvex functions, which is a generalization of semi-E-preinvex functions and semilocalE-convex functions, is introduced. Simultaneously, some of its basic properties are discussed. Furthermore, as its applications, some optimality conditions and duality results are established for a nonlinear programming.

A class of functions called semi-E-preinvex functions is defined as a generalization of semi-E-convex functions. Similarly, the concept of semi-E-quasiconvex functions is also generalized to semi-E-prequasiinvex functions. Properties of these proposed classes are studied, and sufficient conditions for a nonempty subset of the n-dimensional Euclidean space to be an E-convex or E-invex set are given. The relationship between semi-E-preinvex and E-preinvex functions are discussed along with results for the corresponding nonlinear programming problems.

A class of functions called semi--preinvex functions is defined as a generalization of semi--convex functions. Similarly, the concept of semi--quasiconvex functions is also generalized to semi--prequasiinvex functions. Properties of these proposed classes are studied, and sufficient conditions for a nonempty subset of the -dimensional Euclidean space to be an -convex or -invex set are given. The relationship between semi--preinvex and -preinvex functions are discussed along with results for the corresponding nonlinear programming problems.

In this paper, a new class of semilocal E-preinvex and related maps in Banach spaces is introduced for a nondifferentiable vector optimization problem with restrictions of inequalities and some of its basic properties are studied. Furthermore, as its applications, some optimality conditions and duality results are established for a nondifferentiable vector optimization under the aforesaid maps assumptions.

AbstractThe main aim of this paper is to obtain optimality conditions for a constrained set-valued optimization problem. The concept of Clarke epiderivative is introduced and is used to derive necessary optimality conditions. In order to establish sufficient optimality criteria we introduce a new class of set-valued maps which extends the class of convex set-valued maps and is different from the class of invex set-valued maps.

In this paper, we introduce some new concepts of the exponentially preinvex functions. We investigate several properties of the exponentially preinvex functions and discuss their relations with convex functions. Optimality conditions are characterized by a class of variational-like inequalities. Several interesting results characterizing the exponentially preinvex functions are obtained. Results obtained in this paper can be viewed as significant improvement of previously known results.

AbstractA new class of functions called ‘quasi cl-supercontinuous functions’ is introduced. Basic properties of quasi cl-supercontinuous functions are studied and their place in the hierarchy of variants of continuity that already exist in the mathematical literature is elaborated. The notion of quasi cl-supercontinuity, in general, is independent of continuity but coincides with cl-supercontinuity (≡ clopen continuity) (Applied General Topology 8(2) (2007), 293–300; Indian J. Pure Appl. Math. 14(6) (1983), 767–772), a significantly strong form of continuity, if range is a regular space. The class of quasi cl-supercontinuous functions properly contains each of the classes of (i) quasi perfectly continuous functions and (ii) almost cl-supercontinuous functions; and is strictly contained in the class of quasi

The main objective of this paper is to introduce a new class of preinvex functions which is called as n-polynomial preinvex functions of a higher order. As applications of this class of functions, we discuss several new variants of trapezium-like inequalities. In order to obtain the main results of the paper, we use the concepts and techniques of k-fractional calculus. We also discuss some special cases of the obtained results which show that the main results of the paper are quite unifying one.

The concept of mixed-type duality has been extended to the class of multiobjective fractional variational control problems. A number of duality relations are proved to relate the efficient solutions of the primal and its mixed-type dual problems. The results are obtained forρ-convex (generalizedρ-convex) functions. The results generalize a number of duality results previously obtained for finite-dimensional nonlinear programming problems under various convexity assumptions.

LetSbe the class of functionsfwhich are analytic and univalent in the unit discEwithf(0)=0,f′(0)=1. LetC,S*andKbe the classes of convex, starlike and close-to-convex functions respectively. The classC*of quasi-convex functions is defined as follows:Letfbe analytic inEandf(0),f′(0)=1. Thenf ϵ C*if and only if there exists ag ϵ Csuch that, forz ϵ ERe(zf′(z))′g′(z)>0.In this paper, an up-to-date complete study of the classC*is given. Its basic properties, its relationship with other subclasses ofS, coefficient problems, arc length problem and many other results are included in this study. Some related classes are also defined and studied in some detail.
