We establish the existence and uniqueness of coupled common fixed point for symmetric(φ,ψ)-contractive mappings in the framework of orderedG-metric spaces. Present work extends, generalize, and enrich the recent results of Choudhury and Maity (2011), Nashine (2012), and Mohiuddine and Alotaibi (2012), thereby, weakening the involved contractive conditions. Our theoretical results are accompanied by suitable examples and an application to integral equations.

In this work, using the concepts of G-metric and b-metric we define a new type of metric which we call Gb-metric. We study some basic properties of such metric. We also prove a common fixed point theorem for six mappings satisfying weakly compatible condition in complete partially ordered Gb-metric spaces. A nontrivial example is presented to verify the effectiveness and applicability of our main result.

In this paper, we present a common fixed point result for a pair of mappings defined on a b-metric space, which satisfies quasi-contractive inequality with nonlinear comparison functions. An application in solving a class of integral equations will support our results.

Very recently, N. Souayan and N. Mlaiki [Nazir Souayan and Nabil Mlaiki, A fixed point theorem in Sb-metric spaces, J. Math. Comput. Sci. 16 (2016), 131-139] and S. Sedghi et al. [S. Sedghi, A. Gholidahneb, T. Dosenovic, J. Esfahani, S. Radenovic, Common fixed point of four maps in Sb-metric spaces, to appear in J. Linear Topol. Algebra], introduced the concept of Sb-metric space as a generalization of S-metric space. In this paper, we modified the definition of Sb-metric introduced by Souayan and Mlaiki and prove some coupled common fixed point theorems in Sb-metric space. We also present an example to confirm our theoretical results.

In the present paper we establish a common fixed point theorem and apply it to find new best approximation results for ordered subcompatible mappings in the hyperbolic ordered metric space. Our results unify, generalize and complement various known results.

In this paper we have used the concept of bi-metric space and intoduced the concept of bi-b-metric space. our objective is to obtain the common fixed point theorems for two mappings on two different b-metric spaces induced on same set X. In this paper we prove that on the set X two b-metrics are defined to form two different b-metric spaces and the two mappings defined on X have unique common fixed point.
