We consider the sleep mode with multimedia application in WiMAX 2 networks, where the real-time traffic includes the real-time and the best-effort traffic mixed. We present a queueing model with multiple heterogeneous vacations to characterize the system probability behavior in the networks with multimedia application. Taking into account the correlation of the real-time traffic, we assume the arrival process as a discrete-time Markovian arrival process (D-MAP) and analyze this queueing model by using the method of an embedded Markov chain. Then, we present the probability distribution for the number of data packets. Accordingly, we give the formulas for the performance measures in terms of the average response time of data packets, the energy saving ratio, and the standard deviation of the number of data packets. We also develop a cost function to determine the optimal length of the sleep cycle in order to maximize the energy saving ratio while satisfying the Quality of Service (QoS) constraint on the average response time of data packets. Finally, we provide numerical results to investigate the influence of the system parameters on the system performance.

According to the estimation information of dynamic traffic demands, a novel optimal control model of freeway was established on the basis of the hierarchical concept. There are four control modules in this model. The OD prediction module predicts the total traffic demands in a long time and determines the upper bound of the future queuing length in advance; the global optimal control module predicts the future traffic state and establishes the coordination constraints for each ramp in the network; the traffic demand estimation module estimates the real-time traffic conditions for each ramp; the local adaptive control module regulates ramp metering rate according to the estimated information of the real-time traffic conditions and the results optimized by the global optimal control module. The simulation results show that this control system is of a good dynamic performance. It coordinates the benefits of various ramps and optimizes the overall performance of the freeway network.

With the rapid development of the society, the transportation system has become more complicated and vulnerable. For simulating the real-time traffic condition of the whole city, a wide range of OD matrix data are needed which are hard to collect in whole based on the present conventional methods. The paper raises a feasible design of the traffic simulation platform based on the real-time mobile phone data. The popularity and development of mobile phones make the vast amounts of real-time traffic data can be collected and usable. With the help of the GIS module, dynamic OD traffic generation module and other related modules, the real-time mobile phone data will be converted to the valuable traffic data and applied to the traffic simulation platform.

in this paper, the key technology of the traffic statement automatic detection is researched, based on analyzing the properties of the information from the collected license plates, a new automatic traffic statement detective method is pointed out, this new method can express the essential characters of the traffic statement, and valuably gain the precise degree. This automatic detective method expresses the fine applicative prospect in the field of the real time traffic statement detection and management.

The urban area of the server can be a central control node switch and server node, the node switches and a server node can know the porttraffic information in real time. When the connection existed over between 2 of these devices, a connection can be selected according to the real-time traffic, real-time routing function to avoid network congestion and flow of the uneven distribution of resources. Similarly, node server can central control node switch can know the real-time node switch port flow information, therefore, the node switches can obtain the terminal flow control information from the server to the terminal node data transmission flow control.
