This paper deals with the problems ofℋ∞performance and stability analysis for linear systems with interval time-varying delays. It is assumed that the parameter uncertainties are of stochastic properties to represent random change of various environments. By constructing a newly augmented Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, less conservative criteria of the concerned systems are introduced with the framework of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Four numerical examples are given to show the improvements over the existing ones and the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

This paper proposes new delay-dependent stability criteria for discrete-time neural networks with interval time-varying delays and probabilistic occurring parameter uncertainties. It is assumed that parameter uncertainties are changed with the environment, explored using random situations, and its stochastic information is included in the proposed method. By constructing a suitable Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional, new delay-dependent stability criteria for the concerned systems are established in terms of linear matrix inequalities, which can be easily solved by various effective optimization algorithms. Two numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

In this paper, a new method for designing controller for linear switching systems with varying delay is presented concerning the Hurwitz-Convex combination. For stability analysis the Lyapunov-Krasovskii function is used. The stability analysis results are given based on the linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), and it is possible to obtain upper delay bound that guarantees the stability of system by solving the linear matrix inequalities. Compared with the other methods, the proposed controller can be used to get a less conservative criterion and ensures the stability of linear switching systems with time-varying delay in which delay has way larger upper bound in comparison with the delay bounds that are considered in other methods. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of proposed method.

This paper deals with the problem of stability for a class of Lur’e systems with interval time-varying delay and sector-bounded nonlinearity. The interval time-varying delay function is not assumed to be differentiable. We analyze the global exponential stability for uncertain neutral and Lur’e dynamical systems with some sector conditions. By constructing a set of improved Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional combined with Leibniz-Newton’s formula, we establish some stability criteria in terms of linear matrix inequalities. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the results.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate a delay-dependent robust synchronization analysis for coupled stochastic discrete-time neural networks with interval time-varying delays in networks coupling, a time delay in leakage term, and parameter uncertainties. Based on the Lyapunov method, a new delay-dependent criterion for the synchronization of the networks is derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) by constructing a suitable Lyapunov-Krasovskii’s functional and utilizing Finsler’s lemma without free-weighting matrices. Two numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

A global exponential stability method for a class of discrete time recurrent neural networks with interval time-varying delays and norm-bounded time-varying parameter uncertainties is developed in this paper. The method is derived based on a new Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional to exhibit the delay-range-dependent dynamics and to compensate for the enlarged time-span. In addition, it eliminates the need for over bounding and utilizes smaller number of LMI decision variables. Effective solutions to the global stability problem are provided in terms of feasibility-testing of parameterized linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the potential of the developed technique.

This paper deals with the problem of stability analysis for generalized neural networks with time-varying delays. With a suitable Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF) and Wirtinger-based integral inequality, sufficient conditions for guaranteeing the asymptotic stability of the concerned networks are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). By applying the proposed methods to two numerical examples which have been utilized in many works for checking the conservatism of stability criteria, it is shown that the obtained results are significantly improved comparing with the previous ones published in other literature.

This paper considers the delay-dependent stability analysis of neutral-type Lur’e systems with time-varying delays and sector bounded nonlinearities. First of all, using constructed function methods, a new Jensen-like inequality is introduced to obtain less conservative results. Second, a new class of Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF) is constructed according to the characteristic of the considered systems. Third, combining with the new inequality and reciprocal convex approach and some other inequality techniques, the new less conservative robust stability criteria are shown in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, three examples demonstrate the feasibility and the superiority of our methods.

This paper studies the stability analysis of discrete time-varying system with parameter uncertainties and disturbances. The system under consideration is subject to time-varying non-bounded parameter uncertainties in both the state and measured output matrices. To facilitate the stability analysis, the T-S fuzzy model is employed to represent the discrete-time nonlinear system. A fuzzy observer is used to guarantee the Lyapunov stability of the closed-loop system and reduces the effect of the disturbance input on the controlled output to a prescribed level for all admissible uncertainties. The control and observer matrices can be obtained by directly solving a set of linear matrix inequality (LMI) via the existing LMI optimization techniques. Finally, an example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
