Polycystic (dysgenetic) disease of the salivary glands is a rare entity that has only recently been described in the literature. The disease is more commonly seen in females and majority of the cases have presented as bilateral parotid gland swellings. This case presenting in a 21-year-old male is the first of this unusual entity involving solely the minor salivary gland on the lower lip. This case report highlights the importance for the clinician to be aware of this differential diagnosis, when treating an innocuous lesion like a mucocele.

Background: Minor salivary gland benign tumors account for a very small percentage of salivary gland tumors of which monomorphic adenomas are a rare entity. Methods and Findings: The present case report discusses a rare case report of an 18-year-old female patient diagnosed with monomorphic adenoma of the posterior palatal region. The diagnosis was reached after thorough radiographical and pathological investigations. Conclusion: Monomorphic Adenoma in a younger individual is a rare disorder and can be used as a collective term for benign or malignant tumors comprising of one type or even two types of cells.

Salivary gland tumors are rare among all head and neck tumors. Pleomorphic adenoma (PA) is the most commonly seen subtype, and 85% of the cases are located in the parotid gland. PA may very rarely be seen in minor salivary glands. Minor salivary gland PAs are mostly located in the hard and soft palates. Nasopharyngeal PA is very rare, and a total of 8 cases have been published to date. In this case report, a 51-year-old female patient who had nasopharyngeal PA with chondroid metaplasia is presented, and we review the relevant literature.

ABSTRACT Schwannomas or neurilemmomas are benign, encapsulated tumor arising from nerve sheath cells. Intracranial Schwannomas are most common with rare occurrence in the extracranial region. It rarely occurs in the floor of the mouth with very few cases reported. We present a rare case report of Schwannoma of the floor of the mouth, thereby highlighting the consideration of this rare entity as one of the differential diagnosis in cases who present to us with swelling of the floor of the mouth and also the importance of immunohistochemistry in coming to the diagnosis. We report a rare case of a parotid oncocytoma in a 63-year-old woman. It is a rare benign tumor accounting for less than 1.5% of all salivary gland tumors. It is known as the parotid mitochondrioma because it is made of cells rich in mitochondria with granular cytoplasm. It is a rare entity poorly documented in the literature, and there are no pathognomonicsymptoms or imaging, which makes the diagnosis of this tumor challenging.Surgery is the main treatment, and the diagnosis is confirmed by the histological study of the specimen. Through this observation, and in light of the literature, we will underline the anatomoclinical and radiological peculiarities of this tumor, to induce clinicians to consider this histological type.
