The Pulsed Homogeneous Laser Pyrolysis (PHLP) of CHClF2 initiated by IOP(20) radiation of TEA-CO2 laser was carried out in the presence of SF6 sensitizer with the mixture components ratio 1:1 under partial pressure of the reactant equal to 1 Torr and 2 Torr.To describe PHLP process in the afterpulse period we suggested a kinetic model of CHClF2 thermal destruction accounting for the inhomogeneity of laser heating of the reaction mixture and its further cooling by the heat conduction mechanism. Applying the standard mathematical procedure for matching the experimental results of the degree of reactant destruction, and the numeric computations of this value made according to the suggested model, the Arrhenius parameters of the reaction of CHClF2 monomolecular conversion in the temperature range of 1000–1200 K were unambiguously determined. The values were obtained for the activation energy Eα = 52.8 ± 0.3 kcal/mol, and the pre-exponential factor A = (2.5 ± 1) · 1012 s−1.

Rostov Region belongs to the highly protected natural territories characterized by the continuous plowing. There territories are the only reserves with the soils preserved in their natural state. However, these areas often lack detailed information about the soils quality and composition. Surveying soils on these territories is crucial for determination of their basic physical and chemical properties. The resulted compilation of soil maps could lay a foundation for creating the Red Book of Soils and the formation of a section in the soil-geographical database of the Russian Federation. Subsequently, such information can be used as a background data for the main types of soils in the region. It will be also valuable during monitoring and justification of conservation measures.

The method of conjugate deviations based on the regression analysis has been suggested for construction of a new nucleophilicity scale. This method has been applied to a set of 28 nucleophiles participating in 47 physical and chemical processes described in literature. The two-parameter nucleophilicity scale obtained represents-in the parameter denoted as ND-the general tendency to form a bond to an electrophile predominantly on the basis of the orbital interaction and-in the parameter denoted as PD-the ability to interact with a centre similar to the proton (basicity). The linear correlation equation involving the ND, PD parameters and the charge appears to be distinctly better than the most significant relations used. The correlation dependences have the physico-chemical meaning. From the position of individual nucleophiles in the space of the ND and PD parameters, some general conclusions have been derived about the factors governing the reactivity of nucleophiles.

The life of an ordinary tree is described, in terms of the main physical and chemical processes: carbon capture by photosynthesis; entropy and energy; moisture. The information expressed in the tree comes partly from the DNA and partly from the sunlight. The tree does not push upwards from the ground, but solidifies the air.
