Inocybe griseorubida sp. nov. is described from Kerala State, India. A comprehensive description, photographs, and comparisons with phenetically similar species are provided. The nuclear ribosomal internal transcribed spacer region (ITS), a portion of the nuclear ribosomal large subunit (nLSU) and a portion of the nuclear second-largest subunit of RNA polymerase II (rpb2) gene of this species were sequenced and analyzed. Phylogenetic analysis of rpb2 sequences confirmed both the novelty of the species and its placement within the Pseudosperma clade.

Inocybe distincta sp. nov. is described from Kerala State, India. A comprehensive description, photographs, line drawings and comments are provided. The nuclear ribosomal internal transcribed spacer region (ITS), a portion of the nuclear ribosomal large subunit (nrLSU) and a portion of the nuclear second-largest subunit of RNA polymerase II (RPB2) gene of this species were sequenced and analyzed. BLASTn searches using nrLSU and RPB2 sequences and subsequent ML phylogenetic analysis of combined nrLSU and RPB2 sequences confirmed that Inocybe distincta is a representative of the Nothocybe lineage. As the Nothocybe lineage is assumed to have affinities to I. cutifracta, and as there are different interpretations of that species, we examined the holotype of I. cutifracta collected by T. Petch and another collection from Sri Lanka identified as I. cutifracta by D. N. Pegler, and we present here our observations on these collections.

Inocybe gregaria sp. nov. is described from Kerala State, India, based on morphological and molecular data. A comprehensive description, photographs, and comparisons with phenetically similar and phylogenetically related species are provided. The nuclear ribosomal internal transcribed spacer region (nrITS), a portion of the nuclear ribosomal large subunit (nrLSU) and a portion of the nuclear second-largest subunit of RNA polymerase II (rpb2) gene of this species were sequenced and analyzed. BLASTn searches using LSU and rpb2 sequences and subsequent ML phylogram of combined LSU and rpb2 sequences revealed that I. gregaria is conspecific with Inocybe sp. ZT8944, a collection assigned to the Inosperma clade that remains undescribed.

Parasola psathyrelloides sp. nov. is described from Kerala State, India, based on both morphological and molecular data. Comprehensive description, photographs, and comparisons with morphologically similar and phylogenetically related species are provided. Sequences of both the nuclear ribosomal internal transcribed spacer region (ITS) and the nuclear ribosomal large subunit (nLSU) region of the new species were obtained and used in BLASTn searches. The phylogenetic study was based on Maximum likelihood (ML) analysis of the ITS sequences.

Tubaria keralensis sp. nov. is described from Kerala State, India based on morphology and molecular phylogeny. Comprehensive description, photographs, and comparisons with phenetically similar and phylogenetically related species are provided. Tubaria keralensis is characterized by its strongly intervenose lamellae with concolorous edges; a stipe with velar remnants and a white, strigose basal mycelium and broadly ellipsoid to ovoid basidiospores. Nuclear ribosomal internal transcribed spacer region (nrITS) and nuclear ribosomal large subunit (nrLSU) gene region were sequenced and analyzed. Maximum likelihood (ML) analysis of combined nrITS and nrLSU sequence data revealed the novelty of the species as well as its placement in the T. furfuracea complex. The present discovery of T. keralensis forms the second report of a new Tubaria species from Kerala.

Four new species of Entoloma s.l. subgenus Pouzarella (Entoloma wayanadense, E. peechiense, E. silvanum, and E. tropicum) collected from different parts of Kerala State, India are documented here. Descriptions, photographs and comparisons with phenetically similar species are provided. Sequences of the nuclear ribosomal internal transcribed spacer region (ITS) and the nuclear ribosomal large subunit (nrLSU) region of the new species were obtained and used in BLASTn searches and pairwise sequence alignment to support the morphological data and the novelty of the species. A key to the species of Entoloma subg. Pouzarella known from Kerala is provided.

Hohenbuehelia odorata sp.nov. is described based on morphological and molecular data of the nuclear ribosomal internal transcribed spacer (nrITS) region from Kerala State, India. The macro- and micromorphological features in conjunction with nrITS-based phylogenetic analysis performed using Maximum Likelihood (ML) method supported the novelty of H. odorata. Complete morphological descriptions, photographs and comparisons with similar species and a key to the Indian species of Hohenbuehelia are provided.

Three species of Clitopilus, C. albidus sp. nov., C. subscyphoides and C. orientalis, are described from Kerala State, India, based on morphology and molecular phylogeny. Comprehensive descriptions, photographs, and comparisons with phenetically similar and phylogenetically related species are provided. The RNA polymerase II genes (rpb2) of the three species were sequenced and analyzed. In addition, the nuclear ribosomal internal transcribed spacer regions (ITS) and the nuclear ribosomal large subunit (nLSU) genes were sequenced and used in BLAST searches to find similar sequences. Phylogenetic analyses based on rpb2 sequences performed using both Maximum Likelihood (ML) and Bayesian Analysis (BA) methods supported the novelty of C. albidus and its placement within the genus Clitopilus. C. subscyphoides and C. orientalis are the first and second record respectively of these species from India.

A new species of Trogia (Marasmiaceae, Basidiomycota) is described from West Bengal, India. Analysis of the molecular sequence (nuclear ribosomal internal transcribed spacer region) data suggests that T. benghalesis is phylogenetically distinct from its closely related species. Comprehensive description based on macro- and microscopic characters, photographs and comparisons with morphologically similar and phylogenetically related species are provided.

A new species of Amanita subgenus Amanita sect. Vaginatae is described and illustrated based on material collected in pine forests in district Mansehra, Khyber Pakhtoonkhaw, Pakistan. Amanita mansehraensis is recognized by the presence of a light brown or light greyish olive pileus with strong brown or deep brown pileus center; non-appendiculate, rimose, sulcate or plicate striate pileus margin; subglobose to ellipsoid basidiospores; and a saccate volva. The internal transcribed spacer region (ITS) and large subunit of the nuclear ribosomal RNA gene (nrLSU) were used for the delimitation of this species based on sequence data. The evolutionary relationships of A. mansehraensis with other species of Amanita were inferred by means of Maximum Likelihood and Bayesian inferences of the nrLSU dataset and concatenated ITS+nrLSU dataset. Amanita mansehraensis is most closely related to A. brunneofuliginea, A. pseudovaginata, and the recently described A. glarea.
