Two new species in the Anthaxia (Anthaxia) candens (Panzer, 1793) species-group: Anthaxia (Anthaxia) jenisi new species, from southern Iran and A. (A.) pyrosoma new species, from eastern Turkey, are described, illustrated and compared with related species. Anthaxia urens Abeille de Perrin, 1882 is removed from synonymy with A. lucens Küster, 1852 and is treated as a wellcharacterized subspecies. A key to the species of the A. candens species-group is provided and short comments on the taxonomic history, distribution and bionomy of the group are given

Two new species of the genus Laemostenus Bonelli sg. Antisphodrus Schaufuss of the bodemeyeri species-group are described, illustrated and compared with the related species: Laemostenus (Antisphodrus) bozdagensis sp. nov. (Type locality Manisa, Bozdağlar) and Laemostenus (Antisphodrus) binboga sp. nov. (Type locality Kayseri, Sarız, Binboğa Dağları). These new species were collected with subterranean pitfall traps in the mesovoid shallow substratum (MSS). Additional faunistic and systematic comments, identification key and check-list for Turkish species of the bodemeyeri species group are also presented. Distribution of the bodemeyeri species group is mapped.

Two new species, Erromenus atrator sp. n. (Primorskiy Territory) and E. tereshkini sp. n. (Zabaikalskiy Territory) are described in the tribe Trypho¬nini (Ichneumonidae). Both new species differ from other congeners by almost completely black body color and a very wide dorsal area at the base of the pro-podeum, formed by a fused basal area and areola, and by the distinctly raised upper edge of the antennal sockets. In the last character, in the structure of the clypeal foveae and of the ovipositor, the new species are evolutionarily close to the Holarctic species E. zonarius (Gravenhorst, 1820). A new subgroup of species zonarius in the marginatus species group is proposed. Key to black-colored species of zonarius species-subgroup of the Eastern Palaearctic and related species is given.

This paper includes descriptions of a new species of Cinara and one of Micromyzus. The species of Cinara belongs to the species group in which the base of the cornicle hears both heavy and fine setae. In other members of this group the heavy and fine setae are evenly distributed over the surface of the base of the cornicle, but in the species described here the fine setae are clustered around the orifice and the heavy ones are closer to the margin of the base than in related species (Fig. 4). Another difference is that the dorsum of the abdomen is heavily sclerotized rather than having the small, isolated sclerites characteristic of the other members of this species group.

We provide data on the distribution of 23 big-headed fly species (Diptera: Brachycera: Pipunculidae) from Fars province, southern Iran. Two new species of the genus Tomosvaryella Aczél, T. angulata sp. nov. and T. pistacia sp. nov., are described and illustrated. The new species show a clear morphological affiliation to the T. congoana species-group that was hitherto only known from the Afrotropical region. Nine species recorded herein represent first records for Iran. The number of pipunculid species recorded from Iran is now raised to 30. By DNA barcoding of the mitochondrial COI gene, males and females could be unequivocally associated with each other for most species.

Two new species of black flies, Simulium mainitense and S. tukurongense, are described from Palawan, the Philippines. Both species are placed in the Simulium nitidithorax subgroup of the Simulium tuberosum species-group of Simulium (Simulium). They are characterized by the female sensory vesicle of medium length, pupal thorax covered with round tubercles, and anterodorsal trichomes on the pupal thorax longer than frontal trichomes. This combination of characters separates these two new species from S. quasifrenum Delfinado, the only previously known member of the S. nitidithorax subgroup from Palawan, and nine other related species from Sabah, Sarawak, Peninsular Malaysia and India. Simulium mainitense sp. nov. is distinguished from S. tukurongense sp. nov. in the female by the somewhat larger body size, and greater length ratio of the labrum against the clypeus; and in the pupa by the much longer gill filaments.

This paper continues the publication of new data obtained during field studies in remote and poorly studied regions of Laos in 2015–2018. It provides descriptions of two new species (Bulbophyllum brachyscapum Aver. and Sunipia saccata Aver.), emended descriptions of two previously published but insufficiently known species (Cleisostoma verrucosum Aver., Oberonia vesiculifera Aver.) and reports of eight species newly recorded in the flora of Laos (Biermannia calcarata Aver., Bulbophyllum farreri (W. W. Sm.) Seidenf., Didymoplexiella trichechus (J. J. Sm.) Garay, Eria eriopsidobulbon C. S. P. Parish et Rchb. fil., Habenaria ciliolaris Kraenzl., Liparis caudata Aver. et K. S. Nguyen, Odontochilus umbrosus (Aver.) Ormerod, and Porpax ustulata (C. S. P. Parish et Rchb. fil.) Rolfe). Appropriate citations of regional literature, colour illustrations, data on types and distribution, descriptions, etymology, as well as notes on taxonomy and related species are provided for the studied species.
