An annotated list of dolichopodid species recorded from Kurile Archipelago (Russia) is given for the first time. Sciapus basarukini sp. n. from Kunashir Island is described and illustrated. New records for 26 species, including 8 species new for the Kurile Islands, are presented. Long-legged flies are recorded for the first time from the Anuchina, Tanfilyeva, Polonskogo, Urup, Chirpoy, Brat-Chirpoyev, Simushir, Ushishir, Matua, Raikoke, Paramushir, Kharimkotan, Makanrushi, Atlasov, and Onekotan islands. Two species are excluded from the fauna of Kurils. In total, 54 species are recorded from the Kurile Archipelago that appa¬rently makes up 50–60% of the actual dolichopodid fauna in this region. The trends discovered on the Kurile Islands for plant species, i.e. the landscape diversity and the number of plant species increase from small to large islands, and decrease from southern islands northward, are generally supported by the case of flies of the family Dolichopodidae.

New data on the fauna of mayflies in the Anabar River basin are given. A total of eight species of Ephemeroptera have been identified in the fauna of North-Western Yakutia for the first time. Though the mayfly fauna in this region consists mainly of East Palaearctic species, the only seven of them are characterized by arctic-alpine distribution. In general, mayfly species richness of the studied subarctic and southern rivers of Yakutia is similar.

Caenorhinus (Flavodeporaus) belokobylskii sp. n. is described and illustrated from Northwest Vietnam. The new species is similar to C. (F.) lobanovi Legalov, 2021 from Laos but differs in the protibiae of males with mucro, longer and thinner rostrum, slender antennae, densely punctate head and pronotum, convex elytral interstriae, brownish-yellow elytra, slightly tapered aedeagus, and armament of the endophallus.

A new species of the genus Cymindis Latreille, 1805 (Carabidae: Har¬palinae) is described from the Tarim River basin, border to the Taklamakan Desert, Xinjiang-Uygur Autonomous Region of China. Cymindis (Tarsostinus) rolandi sp. n. is similar to C. (Tarsostinus) equestris Gebler, 1825, but differs from the latter in the shape of the pronotum and the glabrous eyes.

Two new caddisfly species Archaeopolycentra turvalsia sp. n. and Archaeopolycentra achupomotet sp. n. (Polycentropodidae) from Late Cretaceous Taymyr amber (Santonian, Kheta Formation, 85 Ma) are described and illustrated. Totally, now the list of caddisflies from Taymyr amber includes 13 species, and the family Polycentropodidae is represented by five species.

A list of 101 species of hoverflies recorded from three high altitudinal belts in the Eastern Sayan mountain region is given. Most species belong to the subfamilies Syrphinae (60 species) and Eristalinae (38 species), while Pipizinae and Microdontinae are presented by two and one species, respectively. Totally, 96 species were found in the forest zone, 37 species were found in the mountain tundra and only Platycheirus chilosia has been caught in the golsty belt. New synonymy is established: Melangyna arctica (Zetterstedt, 1838) = Melangyna soszynskii Mielczarek, 2013 syn. n., = Melangyna tsherepanovi (Violovitsh, 1965) syn. n.

Chrysolina tshingilica sp. n. is described from Chinggil (Qinghe) county in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is the first representative of subgenus Arctolina Kontkanen, 1959 in the Chinese part of Altai. Slightly broadened male tarsi, flat intervals and confused rows of elytral punctures readily distinguish new species from known Arctolina. Lectotypes of Chrysolina lobicollis Fairmaire, 1887 and Ch. pubitarsis Bechyné, 1950 are designated and redescribed; both species belongs to the subgenus Allohypericia Bechyné, 1950. Ch. lobicollis Fairmaire, 1887 is resurrected from synonymy with Ch. (Anopachys) aurichalcea (Gebler, 1825) and synonymised with Ch. aeruginosa poricollis (Motschulsky, 1860); Ch. pubitarsis stat. resurr. is resurrected from synonymy with Ch. (Hypericia) difficilis ussuriensis (Jacobson, 1901).

Two East Asian geometrid moths, Paratrichopteryx misera (Butler, 1879) and Rheumaptera hecate hecate (Butler, 1878), are recorded from Russia for the first time. Their invasive or native status in the south part of Primorsky Krai is briefly discussed.
