A new species, Chalcoscirtus sinevi sp. n., from the Altai Mountains (South Siberia) is described on the basis of both sexes. The new species is closely related to C. grishkanae Marusik, 1988 from North-Eastern Siberia and Transbaikalia, which is also illustrated. Molecular evidences supporting a separate species status of the new species are provided.

The genus Athaumasta Hampson, 1906 is a small genus of the subfamily Bryophilinae, distributed from Central Asia through mountains of South Siberia to the Korean Peninsula. It is closely related to the genera Victrix Staudinger and Bryophila Treitschke, but differs in forewing pattern, strong pectination of the male antennae, a narrow and dorso-laterally flattened uncus, and distally narrowed and apically pointed male valves. The taxonomy of the genus was discussed by Volynkin & Pekarsky (2016). At present the genus includes 10 valid species, some of which were described recently (Volynkin 2012; Volynkin & Pekarsky 2016; Pekarsky 2017), and several taxa await description (Kononenko 2016). The present paper describes a new Athaumasta species from southwestern Mongolia and north-western China related to A. pekarskyi Volynkin, 2012.

An annotated list of harvestmen species (six species in two families) of the Katunsky Biosphere Reserve and adjacent territories in the Altai Republic, Russia is provided. A new species, Sabacon zateevi sp. nov. (♂ ♀ from the Altai Mountains, Russia), is described. Liropilio stukanovi Gritsenko, 1979 is recorded from Russia for the first time, and appearance and diagnostic features of its male are described. The appearance of a living specimen of the female of Homolophus nordenskioeldi (C.L. Koch, 1879) is also provided. For all the studied species, biotope preferences and distribution are discussed. Additional information on morphology and distribution of Sabacon sergeidedicatum Martens, 1989 is given.

We described a new cossid species, Dyspessa ulgen sp. nov. from the Tarbagatai and Altai Mountains and compared it to other taxa of Dyspessa reported from the region (D. tristis, D. saldaitisi, D. saissanica), as well as to morphologically similar D. ulula. The new species is most closely related to D. ulula but differs from the latter in the characteristics of the male genitalia, wing pattern, and molecular data (a 658 bp fragment of the mitochondrial COI gene).

A new species of the family Agnaridae, Lucasioides altaicus sp. nov., is described from the Altai Mountains, southwestern Siberia, based both on morphological characters and molecular data. This species is the first record of Lucasioides from Russia, whose location is the northernmost habitat of terrestrial isopods in indigenous habitats presently known to Eurasia. The diagnostic characters of the new species and a preliminary phylogenetic analysis within Agnaridae are provided.

A New Species of the Genus Rhaphium (Dolichopodidae, Diptera) from Siberia Rhaphium sibiricus Negrobov, Barkalov et Selivanova, sp. n. is described from the Altai Mountains. The new species is similar to Rhaphium gruniniani Negrobov, 1979, differing by black legs, simple, not thickened tip of fore basitarsus, length ratio of apical portion of vein CuA1 to crossvein dm-cu and by the shape of gonopodes.

A new lithobiomorph species, Shikokuobiusaltaicussp. n., is described from the Altai Mountains in southwestern Siberia, Russia. This is the first record of the genus Shikokuobius Shinohara, 1982 in continental Asia, all previous reports being from Japan. The distribution of Shikokuobius is mapped.

Eidophasia assmannisp. nov., a new species of Plutellidae from the alpine zone of Russian Altai Mountains, is described from diagnostic morphology and DNA barcodes. Male adult and genitalia are illustrated, whereas the female sex remains unknown. The species inhabits alpine scree with patchy herbaceous plants and is considered as possible endemic species of the Altai Mountains. An updated checklist of the 13 global Eidophasia Stephens, 1842 species is provided. The likely polyphyly of the genus is discussed from molecular data of the barcode region of the mt COI gene.
