Designing for Medical Work Domains: Challenges, Directions, Opportunities

This purpose of this panel is to debate the challenges, directions, and opportunities for design in medical work domains. One of the ultimate goals is to have the Human Factors community establish a leadership position in medical design practice. The panelists will discuss various perspectives and issues related to problem identification, data collection, analysis, design, and implementation. These views set the stage for creating recommendations that can be implemented and have real impact.

Microfinance Institutions Agribusiness (LKMA) Prima Agung Kenagarian Sungai Duo Kecamatan Sitiung Kabupaten Dharmasraya  is one form of cooperatives engaged in the field of micro-credit. In management, conventional systems are still used in the form of a book. This method is less effective for savings and loan transactions in large quantities because it required precision in processing accounting data such as repetition of writing that can lead to wastage of working time. With the existence of these problems, LKMA Prima Agung needs to use a savings and loan applications that can assist in data processing. The research method used in this study is the identification of the problem, literature, and the establishment of data collection, system design, analysis, design and implementation of the system. The results of this study are expected to be an alternative solution, especially for LKMA Prima Agung in completing various transaction processes effectively and efficiently.

Exam is one way to evaluate the learning process and is a medium to make measurements on the ability of students in a field of study. The school exams at SMK Garuda Nusantara Bekasi are still paper based, using paper for either the test booklet or the answer sheet. This paper based test for surely resulted in high monetary budget and inefficiency of correcting time. Due to this condition, the writer decided to create an online exam system application to make the implementation and test data processing  easier either for the students or the teacher. The method of research used in this study was software development, especially the waterfall and data collection techniques by making direct observations about the process of running the school exams and interviewing the school community. The results of the study were in the form of analysis, design and implementation of online exam system applications using the PHP programming language with MySQL database processing. The application has made significant impact on the increasing of the teaching and learning process effectiveness. In addition, it also increases the management value it can be done online using internet technology.
