The term “cloud of things” is currently in the forefront of computer research topics due to its vital role towards the internet of things. To integrate cloud computing and internet of things into a single technology or worldview, this chapter discussed the evolution of internet of things and cloud computing and reviewed literature on cloud computing and internet of things and their possible integration. The chapter also discussed the importance of cloud internet of things, its architecture, and operation; the need to integrate internet of things and cloud computing; and challenges of cloud internet of things. The chapter then used the identified open issues and future direction to propose a generic cloud internet of things architecture and pilot simulated the results to verify the possibility and effectiveness of cloud computing and internet of things (CIoTs) integration. The researchers believe that the chapter will provide a better insight for anyone who wishes to carry out research in the field of cloud internet of things.

Internet of Things (IoT) and Cloud computing are exceptionally different innovations that have become the backbone of the smart world. This paradigm where IoT and Cloud are integrated is anticipated as an empowering influence to an extensive number of smart applications. In this chapter, the integration of Cloud and IoT is explored. This chapter also provides a picture of the integration of Cloud IoT applications. Finally, some future open issues are described.

Cloud computing, internet of things (IoT), artificial intelligence, and big data are four very different technologies that are already discussed separately. The use of the four technologies is required to be more and more necessary in the present day in order to make them important components in today's world technology. In this paper, the authors center their attention on the integration of cloud, IoT, big data, and artificial intelligence. Several kinds of research papers have surveyed artificial intelligence, cloud, IoT, and big data separately and, more precisely, their main properties, characteristics, underlying technologies, and open issues. However, to the greatest of the authors' knowledge, these works require a detailed analysis of the new paradigm that combines the four technologies, which suggests completely new challenges and research issues. To bridge this gap, this paper presents a survey on the integration of cloud, IoT, artificial intelligence, and big data.
