Species of the hermit crab genus Micropagurus are reviewed. Micropagurus polynesiensis is redescribed on the basis of the syntypes and specimens recently collected from various localities in the Indo-West Pacific. Micropagurus vexatus has proved to be a junior synonym of M. polynesiensis. Two new species, M. propinquus n. sp. from the Ogasawara Islands, Japan, and M. spinimanus n. sp. from various localities in Indo-West Pacific are described.  Short diagnoses are provided for M. devaneyi and M. acantholepis. A key to males of the species is presented.

Two new deep-sea Henricia species, Henricia margarethae n. sp. and Henricia fragilis n. sp. are described from Sagami Bay and the Ogasawara Islands in Japan. The two new species show an affinity with eight congeners in having multiple furrow spines and abactinal papular areas which are larger than surrounding plates. The two species described herein are characterized by the arrangement of abactinal pseudopaxillae, the arrangement of abactinal papulae, the shape and arrangement of abactinal spines, the length of intermarginal and ventrolateral series, and the armament of superomarginal, inferomarginal, and adambulacral plates.

Two new species of Solaster, and a new species of Pteraster are described from the nearshore waters of the Aleutian Islands and compared to congeners from the region. Solaster hexactis sp. nov., S. spectabilis sp. nov., and Pteraster willsi sp. nov., are distinguished by the characteristics of the paxillar, marginal and adambulacral spines, and (in Solaster), the number of rays. The distributions of the new species and keys are provided.

A new genus of asterinid asteroid, Limnasterias gen. nov. and two new species, Limnasterias oinops sp. nov. and L. estradivariae sp. nov. are described from two East Kalimantan marine lakes, Indonesia. Limnasterias is differentiated from other asterinid genera by a combination of features: high aspect body with thick tissue covering; extensive papulate area; numerous single papulae in up to five rows at ray sides; boot-shaped inferomarginal plates; appressed superactinal plates and absence of superambulacral plates. The ecology and conservation of these species and their unique habitat are discussed.

Abstract—A synopsis of Dicliptera (Acanthaceae) for Brazil is presented. Six species are recognized: Dicliptera ciliaris, D. sexangularis, and D. squarrosa, widely distributed in South America; D. purpurascens, which ranges from the North Region of Brazil (in the state of Acre) to eastern Bolivia; D. gracilirama, a new species from the Atlantic Forest of northeastern Brazil; and D. granchaquenha, a new species recorded in dry and semideciduous forests in Bolivia and western Brazil, in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul. Furthermore, we propose new synonyms and designate lectotypes for eleven names. An identification key to the six accepted Dicliptera species in Brazil is provided.

Abstract—Two new diploid species, Aira minoricensis and Aira hercynica, are described and illustrated, along with chromosome counts, risk assessment, distribution and habitat, phenology, and comparisons with morphologically similar species. A comparative table and a key for the species of Aira for the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands are provided to assist in the identification of these overlooked species, and their relationships to other taxa are discussed.

Abstract Bed-by-bed sampling of twelve Barremian sections in southeastern France from pelagic basin (Vocontian Basin) to neritic platforms (Arc of Castellane, Arc of Nice and Provencal Domain) has enabled the collection of isochronous samples of the ammonite genus Gassendiceras. Three poorly known species of the Toxancyloceras vandenheckei Zone (Upper Barremian) are revised: G. alpinum, G. multicostatum and G. hoheneggeri; two new species are described (G. rebouleti nov. sp. and G. bosellii nov. sp.). The intraspecific variability of particular species was recognised. This variability is between slender peramorphic and robust paedomorphic extreme morphologies, with the presence of all intermediates.
