In this paper, we study non-integrable distributions in a Riemannian manifold with a semi-symmetric metric connection, a kind of semi-symmetric non-metric connection and a statistical connection. We obtain the Gauss, Codazzi, and Ricci equations for non-integrable distributions with respect to the semi-symmetric metric connection, the semi-symmetric non-metric connection and the statistical connection. As applications, we obtain Chen’s inequalities for non-integrable distributions of real space forms endowed with a semi-symmetric metric connection and a kind of semi-symmetric non-metric connection. We give some examples of non-integrable distributions in a Riemannian manifold with affine connections. We find some new examples of Einstein distributions and distributions with constant scalar curvature.

In this paper we study a new type of Riemannian manifold called generalized concircularly recurrent manifold. We obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for the constant scalar curvature of such a manifold. Next we study Ricci symmetric generalized concircularly recurrent manifold and prove that such a manifold is an Einstein manifold. Finally, we obtain a sufficient condition for a generalized concircularly recurrent manifold to be a special quasi-Einstein manifold.

If [Formula: see text] is a 3-dimensional contact metric manifold such that [Formula: see text] which admits a Yamabe soliton [Formula: see text] with the flow vector field [Formula: see text] pointwise collinear with the Reeb vector field [Formula: see text], then we show that the scalar curvature is constant and the manifold is Sasakian. Moreover, we prove that if [Formula: see text] is endowed with a Yamabe soliton [Formula: see text], then either [Formula: see text] is flat or it has constant scalar curvature and the flow vector field [Formula: see text] is Killing. Furthermore, we show that if [Formula: see text] is non-flat, then either [Formula: see text] is a Sasakian manifold of constant curvature [Formula: see text] or [Formula: see text] is an infinitesimal automorphism of the contact metric structure on [Formula: see text].

A Riemannian almost paracomplex manifold is a 2n-dimensional Riemannian manifold (M,g), whose structural group O(2n,R) is reduced to the form O(n,R)×O(n,R). We define the scalar curvature π of this manifold and consider relationships between π and the scalar curvature s of the metric g and its conformal transformations.

AbstractLet (M, g(t)) be a compact Riemannian manifold and the metric g(t) evolve by the Ricci flow. In the paper, we prove that the eigenvalues of geometric operator −Δφ + $\frac{R}{2}$ are non-decreasing under the Ricci flow for manifold M with some curvature conditions, where Δφ is the Witten Laplacian operator, φ ∈ C2(M), and R is the scalar curvature with respect to the metric g(t). We also derive the evolution of eigenvalues under the normalized Ricci flow. As a consequence, we show that compact steady Ricci breather with these curvature conditions must be trivial.

AbstractIn this paper we obtain some new characterizations of pseudo-Einstein real hypersurfaces in $\mathbb{C}P^{2}$ and $\mathbb{C}H^{2}$. More precisely, we prove that a real hypersurface in $\mathbb{C}P^{2}$ or $\mathbb{C}H^{2}$ with constant mean curvature is generalized ${\mathcal{D}}$-Einstein with constant coefficient if and only if it is pseudo-Einstein. We prove that a real hypersurface in $\mathbb{C}P^{2}$ with constant scalar curvature is generalized ${\mathcal{D}}$-Einstein with constant coefficient if and only if it is pseudo-Einstein.
