The main aim of this study is to investigate the effects of the P − curvature flatness, P − divergence-free characteristic, and P − symmetry of a warped product manifold on its base and fiber (factor) manifolds. It is proved that the base and the fiber manifolds of the P − curvature flat warped manifold are Einstein manifold. Besides that, the forms of the P − curvature tensor on the base and the fiber manifolds are obtained. The warped product manifold with P − divergence-free characteristic is investigated, and amongst many results, it is proved that the factor manifolds are of constant scalar curvature. Finally, P − symmetric warped product manifold is considered.

Conformally flat pseudo-Riemannian manifolds with generalized Ricci recurrent, [Formula: see text] structure are completely classified in this short report. A conformally flat generalized Ricci recurrent pseudo-Riemannian manifold is shown to be an Einstein manifold. In particular, a conformally flat generalized Ricci recurrent spacetime must be either a de Sitter spacetime or an anti-de Sitter spacetime.

We investigate the spacelike hypersurface with constant scalar curvature (SCS) immersed in a Ricci symmetric manifold obeying standard curvature constraints. By supposing these hypersurfaces satisfy a suitable Okumura-type inequality recently introduced by Meléndez, which is a weaker hypothesis than to assume that they have two distinct principal curvatures, we obtain a series of umbilicity and pinching results. In particular, when the Ricci symmetric manifold is an Einstein manifold, then we further obtain some rigidity classifications of such hypersufaces.

Abstract The object of the present paper is to study some types of semisymmetry conditions on two classes of almost Kenmotsu manifolds. It is shown that a (k, µ)-almost Kenmotsu manifold satisfying the curvature condition Q · R = 0 is locally isometric to the hyperbolic space ℍ2 n +1(−1). Also in (k, µ)-almost Kenmotsu manifolds the following conditions: (1) local symmetry (∇R = 0), (2) semisymmetry (R·R = 0), (3) Q(S, R) = 0, (4) R·R = Q(S, R), (5) locally isometric to the hyperbolic space ℍ2 n +1(−1) are equivalent. Further, it is proved that a (k, µ)′ -almost Kenmotsu manifold satisfying Q · R = 0 is locally isometric to ℍ n +1(−4) × ℝ n and a (k, µ)′ -almost Kenmotsu manifold satisfying any one of the curvature conditions Q(S, R) = 0 or R · R = Q(S, R) is either an Einstein manifold or locally isometric to ℍ n +1(−4) × ℝ n . Finally, an illustrative example is presented.

We show presence a special torse-forming vector field (a particular form of torse-forming of a vector field) on generalized Robertson–Walker (GRW) spacetime, which is an eigenvector of the de Rham–Laplace operator. This paves the way to showing that the presence of a time-like special torse-forming vector field ξ with potential function ρ on a Lorentzian manifold (M,g), dimM>5, which is an eigenvector of the de Rham Laplace operator, gives a characterization of a GRW-spacetime. We show that if, in addition, the function ξ(ρ) is nowhere zero, then the fibers of the GRW-spacetime are compact. Finally, we show that on a simply connected Lorentzian manifold (M,g) that admits a time-like special torse-forming vector field ξ, there is a function f called the associated function of ξ. It is shown that if a connected Lorentzian manifold (M,g), dimM>4, admits a time-like special torse-forming vector field ξ with associated function f nowhere zero and satisfies the Fischer–Marsden equation, then (M,g) is a quasi-Einstein manifold.

In this paper, we investigate multiply warped product manifold \[M =B\times_{b_1} F_1\times_{b_2} F_2\times_{b_3} \ldots \times_{b_m} F_m\] as a gradient almost Ricci soliton. Taking $b_i=b$ for $1\leq i \leq m$ lets us to deduce that potential field depends on $B$. With this idea we also get a rigidity result and show that base is a generalized quasi-Einstein manifold if $\nabla b$ is conformal.

Abstract The aim of this paper is to study complete (noncompact) m-quasi-Einstein manifolds with λ=0 satisfying a fourth-order vanishing condition on the Weyl tensor and zero radial Weyl curvature. In this case, we are able to prove that an m-quasi-Einstein manifold (m>1) with λ=0 on a simply connected n-dimensional manifold(M n , g), (n ≥ 4), of nonnegative Ricci curvature and zero radial Weyl curvature must be a warped product with (n–1)–dimensional Einstein fiber, provided that M has fourth-order divergence-free Weyl tensor (i.e. div4W =0).

The concept of the intrinsic geometry of a nonholonomic Kenmotsu manifold M is introduced. It is understood as the set of those properties of the manifold that depend only on the framing  of the D^ distribution D of the manifold M, on the parallel transformation of vectors belonging to the distribution D along curves tangent to this distribution. The invariants of the intrinsic geometry of the nonholonomic Kenmotsu manifold are: the Schouten curvature tensor; 1-form η generating the distribution D; the Lie derivative  of the metric tensor g along the vector field ; Schouten — Wagner tensor field P, whose components in adapted coordinates are expressed using the equalities . It is proved that, as in the case of the Kenmotsu manifold, the Schouten — Wagner tensor of the manifold M vanishes. It follows that the Schouten tensor of a nonholonomic Kenmotsu manifold has the same formal properties as the Riemann curvature tensor. It is proved that the alternation of the Ricci — Schouten tensor coincides with the differential of the structural form. This property of the Ricci — Schouten tensor is used in the proof of the main result of the article: a nonholonomic Kenmotsu manifold cannot carry the structure of an η-Einstein manifold.

A generalization of $\eta$-Ricci solitons is considered involving an additional metric and functions as soliton coefficients. The soliton potential is torse-forming and orthogonal to the contact distribution of the almost contact B-metric manifold. Then such a manifold can also be considered as an almost Einstein-like manifold, a generalization of an $\eta$-Einstein manifold with respect to both B-metrics and functions as coefficients. Necessary and sufficient conditions are found for a number of properties of the curvature tensor and its Ricci tensor of the studied manifolds. Finally, an explicit example of an arbitrary dimension is given and some of the results are illustrated.

In this paper, we characterized a new class of almost contact metric manifolds and established the equivalent conditions of the characterization identity in term of Kirichenko’s tensors. We demonstrated that the Kenmotsu manifold provides the mentioned class; i.e., the new class can be decomposed into a direct sum of the Kenmotsu and other classes. We proved that the manifold of dimension 3 coincided with the Kenmotsu manifold and provided an example of the new manifold of dimension 5, which is not the Kenmotsu manifold. Moreover, we established the Cartan’s structure equations, the components of Riemannian curvature tensor and the Ricci tensor of the class under consideration. Further, the conditions required for this to be an Einstein manifold have been determined.
