The genetic algorithm is an effective method to optimize model parameters, and to improve it, will accelerate the genetic algorithm is applied to the optimization of the return period storm intensity and rainfall parameters in the relationship with the traditional regression method and preferred-dregression optimization results are analyzed and compared.
