Abstract In this paper we generalize some classical Tauberian theorems for single sequences to double sequences. One-sided Tauberian theorem and generalized Littlewood theorem for (C; 1; 1) summability method are given as corollaries of the main results. Mathematics Subject Classification 2010: 40E05, 40G0

AbstractThe main purpose of this paper is to use a power series summability method to study some approximation properties of Kantorovich type Szász–Mirakyan operators including Sheffer polynomials. We also establish Voronovskaya type result.

AbstractThe paper is concerned with properties of the Dirichlet series where {λn} is a strictly increasing unbounded sequence of real numbers with λ1 > 0. One of the main Tauberian results proved is that if a1 ≥ 0, an > 0 for n = 2, 3, …, a(x) ≤ ∞ for all x ≥ 0, An:= a1 + a2 + … + an → ∞, an λn = o((λn+1-λn)An), an λn sn > − H(λn+1 − λn) An and then A new summability method Dλ, a based on the Dirichlet series a(x) is defined and its relationship to the weighted mean method Ma investigated.

In this paper we introduce new sequence spaces obtained by series in normed spaces and Cesaro summability method. We prove that completeness ´ and barrelledness of a normed space can be characterized by means of these sequence spaces. Also we establish some inclusion relationships associated with the aforementioned sequence spaces.

AbstractLet u = (u n) be a sequence of real numbers whose generator sequence is Cesàro summable to a finite number. We prove that (u n) is slowly oscillating if the sequence of Cesàro means of (ω n(m−1)(u)) is increasing and the following two conditions are hold: $$\begin{gathered} \left( {\lambda - 1} \right)\mathop {\lim \sup }\limits_n \left( {\frac{1} {{\left[ {\lambda n} \right] - n}}\sum\limits_{k = n + 1}^{\left[ {\lambda n} \right]} {\left( {\omega _k^{\left( m \right)} \left( u \right)} \right)^q } } \right)^{\frac{1} {q}} = o\left( 1 \right), \lambda \to 1^ + , q > 1, \hfill \\ \left( {1 - \lambda } \right)\mathop {\lim \sup }\limits_n \left( {\frac{1} {{n - \left[ {\lambda n} \right]}}\sum\limits_{k = \left[ {\lambda n} \right] + 1}^n {\left( {\omega _k^{\left( m \right)} \left( u \right)} \right)^q } } \right)^{\frac{1} {q}} = o\left( 1 \right), \lambda \to 1^ - , q > 1, \hfill \\ \end{gathered}$$ where (ω n(m) (u)) is the general control modulo of the oscillatory behavior of integer order m ≥ 1 of a sequence (u n) defined in [DİK, F.: Tauberian theorems for convergence and subsequential convergence with moderately oscillatory behavior, Math. Morav. 5, (2001), 19–56] and [λn] denotes the integer part of λn.

Suppose throughout that α >0, β is real, and Nis a non-negative integer such that αN+ β> 0. A series of complex terms is said to be summable (B, α,β) to l if, as x→ ∞,where sn= a0 + a1 + … + an.The Borel-type summability method (B, α, β) is regular, i.e., all convergent series are summable (B, α,β) to their natural sums; and (B,1, 1) is the standard Borel exponential method B.Our aim in this paper is to prove the following Tauberian theorem.THEOREM. Iƒ(i) p ≧ – ½, an = o(np), and(ii) is summable (B, α,β) to l, then the series is summable by the Cesaro method(C, 2p + 1) to l.
