Abstract In this paper, we give a characterization of a hypercyclic weighted composition operator on ℓ p {\ell^{p}} ( 1 ≤ p < ∞ {1\leq p<\infty} ). We also obtain some necessary conditions and sufficient conditions for the supercyclicity and cyclicity of a weighted composition operator on ℓ p {{\ell}^{p}} ( 1 ≤ p < ∞ {1\leq p<\infty} ).

In this paper we consider the weighted composition operator uC_{\varphi} from Bloch-type space B^{\alpha} into Bers-type space H_{\beta}^{\infty}, in three cases, \alpha>1, \alpha=1 and \alpha<1. We give the necessary and sufficient conditions for boundedness and compactness of the above operator.

Let \(u\) and \(\varphi\) be two analytic functions on the unit disk \(\mathbb{D}\) such that \(\varphi(\mathbb{D}) \subset \mathbb{D}\). A weighted composition operator \(uC_{\varphi}\) induced by \(u\) and \(\varphi\) is defined on \(H^2\), the Hardy space of \(\mathbb{D}\), by \(uC_{\varphi}f := u \cdot f \circ \varphi\) for every \(f\) in \(H^2\). We obtain sufficient conditions for Hilbert-Schmidtness of \(uC_{\varphi}\) on \(H^2\) in terms of function-theoretic properties of \(u\) and \(\varphi\). Moreover, we characterize Hilbert-Schmidt difference of two weighted composition operators on \(H^2\).

In their paper [1], Campbell and Jamison attempted to give necessary and sufficient conditions for a weighted composition operator on an L2 space to be normal, and to be quasinormal. Those conditions, specifically Theorems I and II of that paper, are not valid (see [2] for precise comments on the other results in that paper). In this paper we present a counterexample to those theorems and state and prove characterizations of quasinormality (Theorem 1 below) and normality (Theorem 2 and Corollary 3 below). We also discuss additional examples and information concerning normal weighted composition operators which contribute to the further understanding of this class.

Abstract Let 𝐻(Ω) denote a functional Hilbert space of analytic functions on a domain Ω. Let 𝑤 : Ω → 𝐂 and ϕ : Ω → Ω be such that 𝑤 𝑓 ○ ϕ is in 𝐻(Ω) for every 𝑓 in 𝐻(Ω). The operator 𝑤𝐶 ϕ Given by 𝑓 → 𝑤 𝑓 ○ ϕ is called a weighted composition operator on 𝐻(Ω). In this paper we characterize such operators and those for which (𝑤𝐶 ϕ )* is a composition operator. Compact weighted composition operators on some functional Hilbert spaces are also characterized. We give sufficient conditions for the compactness of such operators on weighted Dirichlet spaces.

A sequence of nonnegative integers is $k$-graphic if it is the degree sequence of a $k$-uniform hypergraph. The only known characterization of $k$-graphic sequences is due to Dewdney in 1975. As this characterization does not yield an efficient algorithm, it is a fundamental open question to determine a more practical characterization. While several necessary conditions appear in the literature, there are few conditions that imply a sequence is $k$-graphic. In light of this, we present sharp sufficient conditions for $k$-graphicality based on a sequence's length and degree sum.Kocay and Li gave a family of edge exchanges (an extension of 2-switches) that could be used to transform one realization of a 3-graphic sequence into any other realization. We extend their result to $k$-graphic sequences for all $k \geq 3$. Finally we give several applications of edge exchanges in hypergraphs, including generalizing a result of Busch et al. on packing graphic sequences.

The purpose of this article is to study the isometries between vector-valued absolutely continuous function spaces, over compact subsets of the real line. Indeed, under certain conditions, it is shown that such isometries can be represented as a weighted composition operator.

Let X be a non-empty set and let H(X) denote a Hibert space of complex-valued functions on X. Let T be a mapping from X to X and θ a mapping from X to C such that for all f in H(X), f ° T is in H(x) and the mappings CT taking f to f ° T and M taking f to θ.f are bounded linear operators on H(X). Then the operator CTMθ is called a weighted composition operator on H(X). This note is a report on the characterization of weighted composition operators on functional Hilbert spaces and the computation of the adjoint of such operators on L2 of an atomic measure space. Also the Fredholm criteria are discussed for such classes of operators.

Abstract. Given a positive continuous function μ on the interval 0 < t ≤ 1, we consider the space of so-called μ-Bloch functions on the unit ball. If μ(t ) = t, these are the classical Bloch functions. For μ, we define a metric Fμz (u) in terms of which we give a characterization of μ-Bloch functions. Then, necessary and sufficient conditions are obtained in order that a composition operator be a bounded or compact operator between these generalized Bloch spaces. Our results extend those of Zhang and Xiao.
