This paper the properties of heat-shrink tubing, cold-shrink tubing and prefabricated type cable accessories are studied. And based on that, we make a contract with the composition of the material, processing technology and respective advantages. We found that heat-shrink tubing is the most widely use in the electric power system, which has the advantage of low price, simple machining technology and wide source of raw materials. The major characteristic of cold-shrink tubing is easy to install without heating, which is superior to heat-shrink tubing. In addition, excellent physical properties and high contraction rate are also the reflection of its advantages. The prefabricated type cable accessories, as the latest products, have good use foreground because of the resistance to interference and the convenience.
