We present the first record of the velvet spider Stegodyphus tibialis (O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1869) from Telangana state, India. A male specimen of this species was collected from Osmania University campus, Hyderabad. We describe the male and provide a map of the global range of the species.

This paper reports on a subadult male specimen of the smooth dogfish, Mustelus schimitti, caught in the continental shelf of Rio Grande Sul, during winter of 1993, which exhibited the characteristics of total albinism.

The discovery of Camilla glabra (Fallen) in Ottawa, Canada, is the first record of the existence in the New World of any member of the interesting little family Camillidae. A single male specimen taken June 15, 1954, by D. G. F. Cobb while collecting insects in her garden, would seem to indicate the species is established here.The family Camillidae consists of the single genus Camilla Haliday, which for many years was assigned to the family Drosophilidae. Frey, (1921) considered it sufficiently differentiated from the Drosophilidae to warrant separate status and erected the family Camillidae to receive it. Duda (1934), Wheeler (1952, p. 164), and Collin (1956) all recognized the group as a family distinct from the Drosophilidae. More recently, Hennig (1958, p. 665) placed it as a separate family in the Drosophiloidea, pointing out that while it has certain characters in common with Curtonotidae and Drosophilidae, it shows even more affinities with Diastatidae and Ephydridae.

As presently defined, the genus Dinophasma Uvarov, 1940 (= Dina Redtenbacher, 1906, = Xylobistus Zompro, 2004) includes 8 species (Otte & Brock, 2005), 7 of which are widespread in Borneo and one is represented in India. A study of several unidentified specimens of Philippine Aschiphasmatidae allowed recognition of a single male specimen of Dinophasma that cannot be assigned to any known species. The new species is described and illustrated in the present paper and marks the first record of the genus from the Philippines. An identification key to all species of Dinophasma, revised from that presented by Bragg (2001), is also provided

AbstractA male specimen of Dracunculus (Nematoda: Dracunculidae), collected in 1973 from the lung of the Papuan olive python Apodora papuana (Peters et Doria) and now deposited in the helminthological collection of the Natural History Museum in London, is identified as Dracunculus mulbus Jones et Mulder, 2007, a species recently described from the water python Liasis fuscus Peters in northern Australia. Apodora papuana is a new host record for D. mulbus and Papua New Guinea is apparently a new geographical record.

This is the first record of the genus Sericosura from the “Duanqiao” hydrothermal field on the Southwestern Indian Ridge. Collected material included two juvenile specimens temporarily assigned to S. bamberi and S. heteroscela respectively, and one male specimen with dimorphic legs here proposed as a new species, S. duanqiaoensis sp. nov. The discovery suggests potential connectivity among the hydrothermal vents of the Atlantic, Indian and Southern Oceans, expecting obtaining more specimens for further evolutionary studies to clarify the relationships of these hydrothermal vents.

There aren't records of Centrophoridae for the Southern Caribbean. Some of its species are generally known from bathypelagic habitats and are occasionally collected by deep exploratory field studies For the Colombian Caribbean, this is the First record of a male specimen (850 mm TL) of Centrophorus granulosus (Schneider, 1801) incidentally captured using a longline at 200 m depth on the continentalshelf off Bahía Taganga, Santa Marta.

Abstract The aim of this study was to identify the fungi associated with canker disease on Melia azidarch trees inside Mosul University campus and the presidential palaces regions in Mosul Province, Iraq. Results of isolation showed the presenting of the fungi (Nattrassia mangiferae, Neoscylitidium dimidiatum Penz., Fusarium graminearium Schw., Alternaria brassicicola Schw., Aspergillus sp. and Penecillium sp.), which accompanied with the samples displayed cankering symptoms during the period from April to December/2020, the maximum of dominance was 85% for the fungus Neoscylitidium dimidiatum in August, while the lowest was 49% in April for the same year, followed by Fusarium graminearium with 38% in December, while the lowest percentage was 4% in October, then Alternaria brassicicola Schw. was 25% in April and the lowest value was 0% in August, followed by Aspergillus sp. and Penecillium sp. with low isolation percentages the maximum of which 25% and the lowest is 0% in August. When studying the pathogenicity of the isolated fungi, the results showed a high pathogenic effect in terms the length, diameter and the area of cankers symptom. Based on the results of the molecular diagnosis, the morphological identification was confirmed and it was clear that Fusarium austroamericanum, detection is considered the first record of this fungus in Iraq Melia azidarch trees.

Abstract Pleasing lacewings (Neuroptera: Dilaridae) are a group of Neuroptera well known for the sexually dimorphic antennae (unipectinate in male, filiform in female). However, in the dilarid genus, Berothella Banks, 1934, the male antennae are not pectinate but thickly filiform. The genus is the sole representative of the recently established subfamily Berothellinae Liu, U. Aspöck & H. Aspöck, 2017, and includes three species from the Oriental region. So far each of the three species is known by a single male specimen. Here we describe two new species of Berothella, i.e., B. falcata sp. n. and B. wenii sp. n. from China based on morphological characters and molecular evidence. Moreover, we report on the first female of Berothellinae based on specimens of the newly discovered species. The female genital characters of Berothellinae are compared in detail with those of the other dilarid subfamilies. The distribution data of Berothellinae is updated.
