This note reports the presence of Cyanocharax alburnus in the Argentinian Mesopotamia. This represents the southern distributional limit for the species in South America and the first record for Argentina’s fresh water fish fauna.

A check-list of 139 species of fishes of both exotic and indigenous origin belonging to 34 families and 87 genera available in the rivers, beels, haors, ponds and swamps of the greater Mymensingh (Mymensingh, Kishoregonj, Netrakona, Jamalpur and Sherpur) districts of Bangladesh is presented. The number of species, genera and family of fishes reported in Mymensingh regions is still rich in fresh water fish fauna. Present paper deals with study of cestode parasites of genus Circumoncobothrium from fresh water fish Clarius batracus at Savitri river, (Dapoli) for the percentages of infection occurance during summer season,minimum during winter and tolarate during rainy season.The parasite mainly infected the intestine of host and fed on nutrients from digested food. The present investigation deals with the prevalence of infection of cestode, Pseudoinverta oraiensis19 parasitizing Clarias batrachus from Bundelkhand Region (U.P.) India. The studies were recorded from different sampling stations of Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh. For this study 360 fresh water fish, Clarias batrachus were examined. The incidence of infection, monsoon season (17.50%) followed by winter season (20.00%) whereas high in summer season (30.00%).
