Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) is a method of overcoming voltage sag and swell in electrical power distribution. To boost up voltage levels on load side on power disturbances DVR can be used so as the equipment connected will have good voltage profile In this Pulse Width Modulation inverter is in solid-state electronic switching device were employed along with Integrated Gate Bipolar Transistor by the DVR, the alternating current voltage is controllable at real and reactive powers which are made independently. The MLI; is organized as the cascaded H-bridge inverter units. The function of Multilevel Inverter; is to arrange the voltages from a significant direct current source. Here in the DVR, there is no need for external output filters. In the planned DVR, a dc-dc converter is combined with an MLI. By considering the voltage sag magnitude of a dc-dc converter can regulate the dc-link voltage. Hence the output voltage of the multilevel inverter; always has a last number of levels. Instead of using the PWM based technique, the fundamental frequency method can be used in the multilevel inverter. The proposed DVR operation range of mathematical analysis is specified in detail. The simulation results are prepared by using Simulink/MATLAB.

<p>In this paper Embedded based Z-source multilevel inverter (ZSMLI) is proposed. This work implements a five level cascaded H-bridge Z-source inverter by using embedded control. Switching devices are triggered using embedded controller. In this controller coding is described by using switching table. The presence of Z-source network couples inverter main circuit to the power source that providing special features that can overcome the limitations of VSI (voltage source inverter) and CSI (current source inverter). The Z-source concept can applicable in all dc-ac, dc-dc, ac-dc and ac-ac power conversions. Simulation model of Z-source multilevel inverter based on embedded controller has been built in MATLAB/SIMULINK. The Performance parameters of Z-source MLI such as RMS (root mean square) output voltage, THD (total harmonic distortion) and DC component have been analysed for various inductance (L) and capacitance (C) value.</p>

<p>This paper presents a comparison between two switching techniques namely Phase Offset Disposition Sinusoidal PWM (POD-SPWM) and Symmetrical PWM switching for a generalized current source multilevel inverter (MCSI) topology. One of the advantages of MCSI is it can reduce the total harmonic distortion (THD) at the output load current with a sinusoidal current waveform. In this paper, the generalized MCSI with the different levels has been developed with Matlab@simulation software in order to study the performance of the two switching schemes for the operation of the MCSI. From the simulation results, POD-SPWM switching technique can give better THD results compare to symmetrical switching technique.</p>
